Again the Rangers lead the way in performance enhancing drugs...
Didn’t Josh Hamilton get scratched from a start last season because he had too much Red Bull?
A friend at my job who played some minor league ball...
Said the first time he had a monster energy drink right before a game he hit 2 home runs that day. Whether or not that was coincidence, he was hooked from then on. But like the guy in the article states, you’re not going to get the full effect if you’re taking it every day. In fact, I could imagine it could drag your energy down eventually decreasing your productivity.
yes, you'll never forget your first time.
my first red bull was right before i threw in a tourny in AZ. i think i k’d 13 over 7 innings.

Caffeine and sports
I have friends who swear by it. I’ve tried drinking coffee before running or playing soccer and I don’t like it. It makes me feel gross.
Still, the main difference between caffeine and steroids obviously is that caffeine has virtually no harmful side effects. Oh, and it’s not illegal.
"Was this really necsarry?" - cowpoke/hurler hurley
it's a banned substance by the NCAA
although i’ve heard that it takes 4 red bulls to reach the banned amount in your blood stream. I’ve never had that confirmed though

Only somebody in Cali would think that way….I nearly sprayed my Diet Dr Pepper all over the inside of my truck
I went to Ranger/Oriole game last year at Camden Yards
and got tickets right next to the Rangers’ bullpen.
After the National Anthem, the relievers got in a circle each with a red bull. One was poured out on the ground…I don’t know why, it looked like they were “pouring a forty” for teammate that was hurt, traded, sent down, or for whatever reason wasn’t there anymore…and then a toast was said and they each chugged their red bull.

I think that's a Ceej deal
Little ritual they have. I think Eddie sat it out, but always drank a couple cups of coffee after the fifth or sixth.

Rules keep changing
Caffeine used to be banned by WADA (world anti-doping agency) but they changed their position a few years ago. It is still banned (beyond certain levels) by the IOC and some other regulatory bodied.
I’m a fairly serious cyclist and I swear by it. Not so much for the stimulant effect, but for its ability to allow you to start burning fat for energy sooner in your workout.
