Melhuse told he won't make the team

Adam Melhuse has been informed that he won't make the Rangers' Opening Day roster, with Jarrod Saltalamacchia solidifying his claim to the starting job and Taylor Teagarden slated to be the backup.

He is apparently going to explore his options, and the Rangers are checking around to see if there is any interest in him with other clubs.

Hey

He once pinch-hit for Jermaine Dye with his team trailing in a close game

So?

It’s rationale like this that leads to believe
AJ Pierzynski = Francisco Liriano + Boof Bonser + Joe Nathan

Another team interested?

I figured all bat-boy positions were already filled.

Maybe the Phillies need a back-up Phanatic…

EG is reporting

that Nippert is likely out of the race and on the shelf for another 10 days. S/B an interesting decision with him: remove from the 40 or put him on the 60day dl…

why

you would rather see mendoza?

Scout: He was a first-round pick right? Got a huge bonus?
KG: Oh yeah.
Scout: Well, he spent a lot of it on milkshakes.

Adam appears to me to be a baseblall guy

He does his best by having stong spring trainings to make the show, but is not quite there. If no one else can offer him a ML backup job, he will be the backup to Ramirez at OKC a couple of weeks from now, and eventually become the next former catcher that leads his team to the playoffs in a coatching role.

He’ll find a lack of interest before 2 weeks.

huh?

He’ll retire first. Didn’t you read the article?

by Goyogringo on Mar 28, 2009 2:52 AM CDT up reply actions

Quick reaction by Adam

But I believe he would take a backup spot with the carrot dangling for a coaching spot in the Rangers organization in 2010.

He said...

he’s not willing to go down to AAA.

I’m pretty sure he will ask for his release shortly.

Will Dexter Fowler be in the majors this year?

yes, I think so

Spillborghs has been pretty impressive, but Fowler will fit in there at some point this season.

Doctor please. Some more of these.
