Sheffield released...

Not sure how far his bat has regressed but if we're contemplating Jones' bat at DH, why not Sheffield?...again that is if he can still hit. But, apparently the Tigers dropped him because they did not want him clogging up their DH. They wanted some versatility. But in my opinion, I'd trust Sheffield's bat any day over Jones' putrid production last year.

Sadly, I'm guessing we're too far into Rudy's experiment.

I’d rather have Marlon Byrd be the RH DH than have either player, but like you said it is Rudy and his stubbornness. I’m ready for Rudy to go get another job. He has too much power as the hitting coach here and I think he is overrated.

Agree completely...

…there is no way to prove it one way or the other but I feel that the positives of Rudy are at least canceled out by his inappropriate power in the organization and the overall lack of a “work the count” philosophy during his tenure.

I don’t blame someone for missing that.

i don't notice them

and never look for them. usually a good fanshot would get posted as news or gets repeated as a fan post…i think.

I'm a fan of Sheffield

But he’s old and this team is supposed to be in a developmental phase. I’d rather see whichever catcher isn’t catching DH, personally. Don’t care if it’s a RHP or a LHP on the mound.
