New Blog: Sounder At Heart for Seattle Sounders Fans!

A sincere thanks to LSB

I'm a fan of the Angels, and have visited your site a few times in the past. But, now I enter, not as a rival, but as a person offering sincere thanks to all of you who have given words of encouragement, and heartfelt support in our time of need. The response to the tragedy and loss of life here has been phenomenal, and not gone unnoticed at Halos Heaven. many, myself included, have decided to personally thank all of our friends and well wishers, with our deepest thanks and love, for the love given and best wishes received. It is unfortunate that the best humanity has to offer, is only shown when we as a people are in dire need. Once again, from the bottom of our hearts and souls at Halos Heaven, thank you for the love and compassion.

For what it's worth, the young man, just barely in his twenties, was able to touch his dream.

He made it you know. So many people never even get close to theirs.

He lived to achieve. And achieve he did. And that is what makes me proud of Nick Adenhart…

Thank you

and I must add- I’m now a fan of D. Mosely, as long as it isn’t against the Rangers. :) That kid really impressed me at the press conference.

I've always been a Dustin Moseley fan

Having watched him in the pen and around fans in 2007, that kid is a class act. Good guy…I wish him well (except against the Rangers…ha ha).

This is part of it-

It’s kind of a combination of what he said, and the composure that he articulated his feelings. After that video was Q & A from the reporters, same thing- nothing rehearsed. Just seemed like a good dude.

Thanks for your kind words.

It’s the least we could do to offer our prayers and condolences for your loss as fans, and out of respect for the Adenhart family. I think in light of both this tragedy, as well as the Easter weekend, we should all really take a look at what matters in life and the fact that we never know when that time is up for each of us. And as your baseball family, we just wanted to share our love and respect for each of you during this tough time; after all, it is what matters most.

+1

Scout: He was a first-round pick right? Got a huge bonus?
KG: Oh yeah.
Scout: Well, he spent a lot of it on milkshakes.

There's a nice post over at HH thanking everyone

Check it out here

LSBers were well-represented. And it was nice to fans from all teams rallying around the Angels fans.

like one said at HH

we’re all baseball fans first and foremost and it’s too bad that we were brought together by tragedy.

it’s a small thing to do, to give words of encouragement when someone has received such a loss. Like oc said above, Nick Adenhart achieved his dream, albeit for a brief time, he reached his goal.

"Take me out to the ball game, Take me out with the crowd. Buy me some peanuts and cracker jacks, I don't care if I never get back, Let me root, root, root for the RANGERS, If they don't win it's a shame. For it's one, two, three strikes, your out, At the old ball game."
