Updated: Ft Worth Rangers Ticket/Team Shop
Over the past several months, the Rangers have been renovating a retail space at 316 Main Street, just North of Razzoo's, in downtown Fort Worth. I stopped by there today at lunch, and it looks done.
The store will open for business at 10am on April 15th. Inside, there are caps, t-shirts, jerseys, baseballs, and other Rangers stuff.
According to this Sundance Square website, the hours will be:
Monday - Thursday: 10 a.m. - 8 p.m.
Friday & Saturday: 10 a.m. - 10 p.m.
Sunday: 12 p.m. - 6 p.m.
The official Rangers Press Release can be found here.
"We feel that Fort Worth is a very important market for the Rangers," commented club President Nolan Ryan. "Adding a team store in the heart of Sundance Square will give fans a convenient way to purchase Rangers merchandise and tickets."
The facility will also serve as a full service ticket office, accommodating both individual game purchases and season ticket holder sales and exchanges.
This weekend, the Main Street Arts Festival will be taking place. If you're planning on coming to that, be sure to check it out.

I was just in Sundance Square a few weeks ago
and noticed the building… Just another place to stop in while in downtown Cowtown…

Only in comparison to Dallas.
Come on, man; if you want to do an impression, at least do it right!

too bad that
the dallas location doesn’t have convenient hours like this location. the dallas store closes by six (everyday i think) and is closed on sunday completely.

You Know
I am pretty sure the reps had an event with some team reps and free food and stuff when the Dallas office opened. Maybe they’ll host something like that there? Keep an ear out.

Yeah
they had the Ticket broadcasting out there, CJ, McCarthy, and Bryd signing autographs, and free food.

I stopped by there at lunch today.
No free food, team reps, or player appearances (yet). It’s kind of small, so if they do that, there will be a line out the door. (That is if there are any Ranger fans left.)
If you buy an authentic jersey, they will give you free tickets to a game.
They told me the Star Telegram guys were in there with video and/or taking pictures. If I see something on their blog, I’ll link to that above.

fucking jackass
im not dumb, i know i can look it up (and have) on chowhound and looked around on yelp how about if i list some choices:
-railhead smoke house
-melis taquereia
-Joe T’s
-dutch’s hamburgers
-angelos
-charley’s old fashioned hamburgers
im not dumb i thought i would ask for personal reviews/thoughts.
between yelp, chowhound, FW Star Telegram, etc and a personal review i thought i would have no problems getting a good spot.

Joe T’s is overrated in my opinion. I’m not a huge margarita person so maybe thats it but the food is average. The scene is cool if your looking for an outdoor restaurant on a nice spring day though.
Kincaids>Dutch’s>Charlies
Only been to the Railhead in Colleyville which has since closed but upscale BBQ isn’t really my thing but other people apparently dig it.

although if it's a date
be warned that it’s nothing fancy… but if your gf digs Kincaid’s, she’s a keeper…

good news:
1) she loves a good burger
2) she supports my baseball habit/addiction
3) she would rather go to a hole in the wall, 10$ per person place that has good food than a big name, 100$ per person place that has good food.
believe me, she is most DEF a keeper lol — the only problem is that shes a mariners fan (from seattle)

ovation
theres a place called ovation off of camp bowie pretty close to bryant irvin thats upscale comfort food. really really good
railhead is pretty much the best bbq you can find. im not sure why nikpin called it upscale. it is most certainly not that. big giant schooners for either 1.50 or 2.00 (cant remember which)

cabo grande
theres also a place in sundance square like a block west of razoos called cabo grande that has really good mexican food if youre looking for that

I prefer Cantina Laredo to Cabo Grande but Cabo is more traditional Tex/Mex and I’d say Catina Laredo will have more of the Fusion Tex/Mex style dishes.

Guacamole is to die for at Laredo
Their tequila dinners are good too

Cousin's is much better BBQ than Railhead
Sauce is better. Meat is better. Sides are better.

Hmm
If I remember correctly the BBQ wasn’t cheap and the restaurant decor wasn’t what you would expect from a typical BBQ restaurant. I’m more of a down home whole in the wall BBQ place. But again this was Colleyville and I’ve never been to the one in Ft. Worth.

La Playa Maya
and underrated mexican food place.
The Basses eat there from time to time. Good atmosphere and food. Fajitas are really good and not that expensive.

so for a casual lunch place
basically go with kincades, la playa maya or railhead/cousins for BBQ
and im about 90% sure it will be kincades
thanks for the help!
