For those who missed it
I am predicting the Mavs advance out of the first round of the playoffs this year.
And Rick Adelman looks like Bentley from "The Jeffersons."

Parker-Ginobili-Duncan is 'special'
But Duncan with no Manu and no legs is no good for SA. Whoever wins the series will get their ass handed to them in the 2nd round.
What's different?
Does Chauncey put them over the top?
I'm all Washed out.

Chauncey is huge
But Nene and JR Smith have taken a step forward this year. KMart is healthy, their bench is strong and ’Melo is hungry.
'Melo is a stoner
so that makes sense.
I'm all Washed out.

but you do know
that Duncan is ten years older now.
just seemed as though you
were implying Duncan won it singlehandedly in ’99. Was I incorrect?
no, just saying the 'special' talent in their title runs is him
the constant.
Without Duncan they don’t win ANY championships…
Apparently some don’t think that’s the case though…
this is what i do...i guarantee.
definetly a big part of it
but I don’t think he gets it done, at this age, without the other two.
I’ve been wrong before, though.
Yes, I will be so sure

Completely disagree.
I think NO is horrible—they remind me of the playoff Mavs last year—and Denver is just not deep enough.
San Antonio definitely moves on against either team, and Dallas probably does as well.
My big prediction: either Portland or Houston will beat the Lakers in the second round. I wouldn’t even put it past Utah. I’m not buying LA this year, and I’ll take the East in almost any Finals matchup.

One up.
NO beats Den, Por beats Hou, LA beats Utah, Mavs beat Spurs
Mavs beat NO Por beats LA
Mavs beat Por.
Oh Yeah. One can dream.

The 2008-2009 Dallas Mavericks are the biggest teases in the world.
I don't think Denver is championship material
But I do think their youthful energy will get them by us or SA, their depth will show up against Utah or LA, though. I don’t know what to think of Houston, If Ron Artest was a different player with his skillset, but not Ron Artest, I’d think they could do something. Portland is a year away from being a real threat. If Bynum is healthy, the Lakers are just too good. There is no way you can take the Celtics w/out Garnett, and Dwight Howard can still be taken out of a game, which eliminates Orlando. It’s gonna be Cavs-Lakers, and the Lakers will win.
hey
when did you make that trade proposal?
even so, i don’t think he’s out too long, i didn’t even notice that until a few hrs ago…
this is what i do...i guarantee.
Im gonna agree with Mr. AJM
Mavs have played some great basketball over the past month and there is not a hotter team in the west right now accept for maybe Denver and of course LA. Im predicting Mavs win in 6!!! GO MAVS!!!! Plus w/out manuface, i like our chances!!
Elvis has "shook up" Arlington!!
dang
from not making the playoffs this year to 2nd round…
what happened?
this is what i do...i guarantee.
West is weaker across the board than I expected
And they avoid Utah, New Orleans and the Lakers, who I think are the worst matchups for them.
And the Mavs are playing good ball right now.

Incidentally...
Did I predict they wouldn’t make the playoffs?
I said they wouldn’t win 50 games, which I was wrong about.

you did
when we started 2-7 and it looked like we were going to lose that next game. you were talking that night. you said you thought it would take 50 games to get a playoff spot in the west and we weren’t going to get that.
does none of that sound familiar?

Simmons
I liked his insight about the 1000-game mark, in regards to Garnett (career in jeopardy) and Duncan (real slowdown towards end of 2009).
I’ll take the Mavs to advance.

solid
or a game changer? San Antonio needs Duncan and Parker to be MVP candidates, and Mason to catch that “Manu” fire

My friend texted me just to tell me. . .
. . . she’s watching Martin Perez pitch.
(And not well, btw.)

I hope he makes it just for the name.

It is probably pronounced differently than it reads.
Like the ‘man’ part is probably a variation of ‘mun’.
So it reads ‘David Mailman’ and is probably said ‘David Mailmun’.

I think the suprs take it in 5...
I think that the Mavs recent surge has inflated people’s opinion of them. Once the playofs start and Dirk is doubled and tripled team everytime he touches the ball the game changes.
Dallas will then have to rely on Howard, Terry, and a bunch of below average role players for points….this will hardly be consistant.
Spurs in 6 (even without Ginobili)
