That was the schedule before
Sounds to me like Feldman’s going on Saturday, which Benson had been pushed back to.

lineup
has Hamilton and Andrus off today.
Elvis Andrus - 2009 AL Rookie of the Year

I think Hamilton can use the day off
Andrus… not sure why he would be out. Maybe it’s so Vizquel doesn’t rust on the bench.

Better Vizquel starting
than pinch hitting for Young with the bases loaded in the 8th inning

Better Vizquel on the bench and stay on the bench

I guess O'Day recently gave up a walk-off hit?
by tyd3311 on Apr 22, 2009 3:37 PM CDT reply actions 0 recs
He had a 0.0 ERa but let a few inherited runners score so far this year.
Small sample size, though… it was either last year or for his career that he gave up a run (inherited or his own) in 37 percent of appearances.
by Inkara1 on Apr 22, 2009 3:40 PM CDT up reply actions 0 recs
Yep: according to Newsday
The Rangers have been awarded the waiver claim on O’Day, 26, whom the Mets claimed from the Angels in last December’s Rule 5 draft. A right-handed side-armer, O’Day posted a 0.00 ERA in four games for the Mets, allowing five hits and a walk and striking out two over three innings.
Where O’Day frustrated Mets officials, however — albeit in a tiny sample size — was dealing with inherited runners. He inherited three runners, and they all scored, according the Elias Sports Bureau.

so basically if he is going to pitch
let him start the inning, or come on with nobody on base

I’m tired of the kid being on the club and not pitching. I mean three games plus the 5 he waited for his turn in the rotation at OKC… that’s a LOT of rest. He needs some work.
