Without a doubt your best to date...

That’s cynical, smarmy Jack at his best.

agreed on both counts

If you take the worst pitching staff in baseball, then add Kris Benson and Jason Jennings, what do you have???

surprise!!! You have the worst pitching staff in baseball, that's what.

I can't see this at work...

but it is one of my favorite scenes in cinema.

you want me to hold the chicken huh?
I want you to hold it. Between your legs.

Vastly underrated, nearly forgotten movie, too slow for today’s tastes, I guess.

Never heard of the movie

but that scene is hilarious. What’s the movie about?

Short synopsis from your friend Wikipedia

It tells the story of Bobby Dupea (played by Jack Nicholson), a former piano prodigy who is estranged from his artistic upper-class family. In the opening of the film, the character is working as an oil rigger. When his father becomes ill, he goes home to visit his family, reluctantly taking his diner-waitress girlfriend with him.

I'm confused... Why does he let Bjork hang out in the backseat as he drives off?

The short-haired girl is Toni Basil from 'Mickey' fame.

Looks a lot like Annie Potts.

Karen Black steals EVERY scene she's in in this underrated gem

And that’s saying sumpin, cuz everybody is pretty good in it…

Next week you should do 70's Burt in Starting Over

Another oft forgotten 70’s classic.

Burt Reynolds + the 70’s = gold, baby.

Yay 70’s.

5 Easy Pieces is okay, possibly a little overrated,

but I really like Jack in The Last Detail telling everybody who the mf’ing shore patrol is.

That, was 70’s greatness.

Hahaha heheheh good stuff

Similar scene at a truck stop in Waco, TX, Highway 81 before there was an interstate 35:
“I want my eggs scrambled extra well done, and the toast done light”.
“You got it, trooper”
--plate arrives -
“Ma’am”
(again) “Ma’am”
“Yah, is anything the matter?”
“Could you take this back and have the kitchen finish the eggs – I want them extra well done”
“Hey these ARE well done? What do you call well done?’
(pause)
“I want to pick ’em up, hold ’em sidewars, and cut paper with ’em. If I wanted to drink my eggs, I would have orderd a damn straw”
