About last night...

Is it just me or the Rangers have been doing a lot of the late-inning rallying this season (whether it’s succeeded or not?)

Remember to retire Fin's number, Mark.

Trying something new tonight with mlb.tv

GDT in firefox, mlb.tv in Google Chrome.

We’ll see if that smooths things out a bit. Chrome is supposed to handle Adobe Flash better.

by Inkara1 on Apr 25, 2009 6:03 PM CDT reply actions

So far so good

if I used firefox to run mlb.tv, every time I would press Z to scroll through the thread, the game would slow down for a split second. So far, no problems with that.

by Inkara1 on Apr 25, 2009 6:06 PM CDT up reply actions

Definitely the way to go

I was able to go load up the Rangers mlb.com page and then gameday and it didn’t slow mlb.tv down at all.

i think its an excuse

you are out there throwing to hitters. get them out. i can see how guys can do better in the pen since the batters only see them once and maybe they can go with a little more effort, but better in the rotation? purely mentally? i doubt there are too many cases where this really panned out.

Different styles of pitching

The preparation is different as Inkara said. The pitch selection is also different. You also have to go all out and not hold anything back since you’re only out there for an inning. I think that was the biggest problem for Feldman. His stuff isn’t that overpowering and he was trying to pitch as if it was.

Feldman reminds me a bit of Derek Lowe.

Not as ground bally, obviously.

But, yah.

I like this guy.

hard to ask for much

more so far. Way to go Scotty.

Matt Harrison is crying already knowing he’s heading back to OKC when Benson is healthy.

When he's on, anyway

Get back to me after the 6th inning and we’ll see if you feel the same way.

I must get out of the plane, go to a nearby farmhouse - have a Dr Pepper - and call the police.

I doubt he goes much longer than 5 or maybe 6.

Or at least he shouldn’t.

He needs to get stretched out.

5 strong and then Der-Hol.

He was starting throughout ST

I don’t think its that big of a deal. You probably don’t want him going past 100, but he should be able to get through 6.

if he goes though six like this call it a win

regardless of whether he gets into the 7th or not.

LOL at Young and Andrus there

Young’s trying to relive his past there.

If they conked heads and both had to leave...

Vizquel at SS, I’m sure, but who plays third?

by Inkara1 on Apr 25, 2009 6:54 PM CDT up reply actions

HB

Rocky Mountain Ranger

Davis to third

HB at first. Or Vizquel covers the whole left side.

Vizquel

He’s that good that you just put him between your SS and 3B and shift Kinsler over a little. We wouldn’t even need the 9th player in the game. Let the pitcher hit. We’ll still win this game.

Visquel is too good

He could play both so we could have two DHs

That's not hail you see in Frisco....that just Justin Smoak's Home Runs coming back into orbit....

I can't decide

If I’d rather Salty hit the leadoff HR, or Kinsler go deep for the 3-run shot.

Nevermind, Go Ian!
