I haven't heard about anyone picking him up

I guess he is just cashing checks and living the good life these days.

I remember reading, probably here, that when a player like him is cut, that they receive their entire remaining salary/bonuses in one lump sum.

Bad news: Frankie we don’t need you around here anymore and we’re cutting your ass.

Good news: Here’s a check for $6 million.
