Rupe Clears Waivers

DMN Blog

The Rangers plan to send him to extended spring training in Surprise, Ariz., to get his arm stretched out so that he can become a starter for Triple-A Oklahoma City. Rupe has been a starter before, and returning to a starting role has been his goal.

I like this... I don't think we've heard the last of Mr Rupe in a Rangers uniform.

And I need like seven more words. And that was only six.

Does Rupe really

warrant a fanpost? If he makes it back to the big leagues in a Ranger uniform then ..well…JD should be fired.

Significant piece

of the big league bullpen for the past two years. More of a worthy Fanpost than an Festival for knee ligaments or Day 2 of the Cowboys draft, no?

I just noticed that someone else did Fanshot this same new about two minutes before I did. Sorry for the inconvenience.

I was really just

taking a shot at Rupe and not your fanpost. Maybe a :) was in order.

You put this up too early, though… It’s going to get ignored.

If I could DFA Rupe again

I would. I think we have seen enough of him in a Rangers uniform. He won’t be added on the 40 at the end of the year anyway.

I like him

just because he does the long overhead wind up we never see anymore. He really never has pitched consistently well for a decent amount of time, but keep him around in OKC to go back to a starter role, you should never just throw arms away……….. Armando Galaraga nods in the distance
