Talent doesn't just evaporate. Jones earned his way to the majors at 19 because he was a remarkably gifted individual. Those abilities are still in there. Kudos to the Texas Rangers for giving him an opportunity to find them again.
FanGraphs: Welcome Back Andruw Jones
There are times in my life when I really love being wrong, and it looks like this might be one of them.

Heh
Dave Cameron is aggressively accepting that Texas is building a great org, judging from some of his comments. I guess that could forestall pain for a Seattle fan…

I, too, am enjoying being wrong
I really didn’t think Jones would even contribute this much — even if he doesn’t keep this up he’s done more than I thought he could. And I am most pleased to see Washington not overexposing him thus far and putting Byrd in CF while Hamilton is out.

Dear, sweet Jesus.
What is wrong with those people?
It cracked me up to read the first set of comments between Dave and Garret, with Dave’s responses being voted down…but by the end, I really felt like humanity lost.
I didn't think he would look as good as he has
and obviously, he won’t continue to be as good as he has been.
However, for the life of me, I just couldn’t see much downside to taking him over Cat.

There wasn't much chance
of putting a 25 man together without one or the other.

it doesn't happen often
but i am greatly enjoying being right all along.
What is this, Horseville? Because I'm surrounded by naysayers.
good call then
Im loving the fact that he seems to be content being very patient at the plate, thats something we need because lord knows no one else around him seems to feel the same.
Chris (NJ): I am personally offended at how you ranked a prospect from my favorite team, even though I do not know said prospect, nor have I ever seen him play. In my opinion you only have your job because, like your employers, you have an unholy bias towards my favorite team’s rival. Also, you’re short.
Keith Law: You’re right. I am short.
