(Wife) "So what do you want to watch on the T.V.? UFC or porn?"
(Husband) "Hmm... well, porn, I guess."
If Nippert's DL stint
was retroactive to the 27th, then we can probably expect him back in a Rangers uniform by the 10th or 11th, right? That would give him time to pitch at least once out of the OKC or Frisco pen, and then come up and replace Madrigal. But that really just gives us a 4th “utility” bullpen guy, joining Rupe, Jennings and Feldman. The lack of player options in our bullpen this year is something that hasn’t gotten a lot of mention, but it could really hurt our flexibility this year.
Once Nippert replaces Madrigal, what does the team do if Mad Dog or Eyre or Bannister or Diamond perform well enough in the minors to warrent a test run as a right handed late inning guy? Who could/would the team option/release to make room?
What is this, Horseville? Because I'm surrounded by naysayers.
I don't see that
platoons galore is a drawback.

Me neither
though too many would mean you have too many part time players on your roster, but a few platoons probably means you’re using your guys the right way.
