Turnbow has reportedly exercised the out clause in his minor league contract that permitted him to trigger his release, and the Rangers have in fact let him go. In eight RedHawks appearances, the 31-year-old allowed seven runs (six earned: 8.53 ERA) on an absurd 11 hits and nine walks covering 6.1 innings. Opponents feasted on Turnbow to the tune of .407/.553/.556.

Who takes his place in OKC?
Hopefully AJ Murray. Give him a couple of weeks in AAA to prove his new delivery and then it is bye bye Eddie.

Indeed, this is a good thing
Instead of exercising his out clause, Turnbow should have been writing thank you notes to the organization for keeping his sorry butt around.
