Hamilton was fine
He had a walk, a single, and a long flyball out. He misplayed a ball in the outfield but made a terrific throw home on another play. He looks healthy.

Hamilton
Just got back from the game. Hamilton took kind of an awkward spill out in centerfield right before they pulled him. He misplayed a hit up the middle by overrunning it and when he tried to correct he lost his footing. That said, I think he’s fine. My guess is that they just wanted to be safe and/or they had only planned on him playing part of the game. Also, it was really hot out there.
Greg Golson is crazy fast.

Good number of Rangers jerseys and hats at the game
Hamilton got a nice cheer when the starting lineups were announced and whenever he came to bat. His spill in the outfield also got a nice reaction. Not a bad crowd for Mother’s Day.

Brandon Boggs is a good man
We sat in the grass behind left field. Early in the game my 4 year old son walked to the edge of the fence and called out to Boggs, who was playing LF. Even though it was between batters, Brandon heard him, turned around, raised his sunglasses and waved to my son. Very cool.

I tried that with Mayberry a couple of years ago
He ignored me the whole game.

Sam Horn
gave me Oreo Cookies when I was 5 at Spring Training in Orlando one year. I didn’t like the Orioles or even know who Sam Horn was, but after that I always rooted for him.

When I was kid in the 60's we were at a game in the Astrodome
I was hanging over the rail during batting practice. John Bateman cracked a bat and on the way to the dugout handed me his cracked bat with a casual " hey, kid, you want a bat?" I still have that bat
IMO the fact that John Bateman is not in the HOF is an injustice, an injustice I tell you. I know he wasnt much of a player, but HE GAVE ME A BAT

drunk and standing in middle of street, wouldn't cross.
She didn’t actually hit him. He finally moved. Was like getting a cow to move.

Spoke with Josh
after the game as he signed a couple of balls for my kids. Says he feels fine and no ill effects from the awkward spill he took. Apparently mashed a bp ball over the centerfield shed at Dell Diamond which is quite a shot.
