Yep
I think we all agree that after we hit six or seven of their batters it was within the White Sox right to throw at someone. And when Jenks admitted that he threw at Kinsler, MLB had to fine him. I guess the fine in this amount is them saying that we know why you did it but we still had to fine you, so how about a fine of $750.

WHOA!
Guess that will show him. This reminds me of the NCAA and the annual OU Sooner cheating scandal where the NCAA always lets them off. I dont know why they even go through the motions anymore

Annual cheating?
Try again. Do you not remember 1985 if not google it.

I love this anwser
and its a trick question, because their is no year that they didnt cheat.
All universities “cheat” in one way or another.
This is our year.

No that is the year
They had tons of scholarships taken. If you had known anything you would know that the Sooners were not good from 86 to 98. PM Productions is right though every university does cheat. If your team is a top 10 team every year there is a greater than zero chance they are cheating.

Denny's is slightly cheaper than that
I can put away the food probably as much as Jenks can and I don’t even spend half of 1/10th that much.
That might buy two drinks at Starbucks, though. ;)

FWIW
Jenks didn’t have to admit in public, and didn’t headhunt or throw at the legs. What he did was pretty much in keeping with baseball tradition – although I’m not defending the small fine so much, in the light of his throwing at Kinsler. He should have picked on Byrd – easier target to hit, and puts a man on base for Los Rangers. Heh ….

Personally, I'm good
with a small fine or no fine at all.
We were HBPing the White Sox pretty heavily. If I was Jenks, I would have made sure there were stitch marks on someone’s ass, rather than throw behind him.

yeah, I agree
Hawks rant on the Chisox broadcast was more worthy of a fine. Went on and on about how there was no way it was intentional…..then the next day, this revelation

Does this even
amount to what he would get for his per diem on the road? I’ve never heard of such a small fine before. It’s like they had to fine him since he made that remark.

Thats exactly it.
If he says the ball got away from him, nothing at all happens to him.

That's why I'm not upset about this
He really shouldn’t have been fined, but MLB can’t let someone say they were throwing at another batter without fining them.

I am 100% ok with this
Its funny that the MLB did this, and im glad they did, because they knew they had to fine him, but I dont think anybody wants baseball to become a league of pussies, there is a code to the game, alot like in Hockey. Jenks didnt break the code, he was just enforcing his end of it. He didnt try to knock Kinsler down, but obviously through it down and behind him. If it was one of our pitchers, Id be upset if he was punished harsh for doing something like this.
Anyways, It is pretty funny that they fined him so small, i laughed and did a double take when i saw that number scroll along at the bottom of the ESPN tracker.

Yeah, I'd be livid
if the sides were reversed and they hit FF or someone with a big fine for throwing behind a hitter after the other team was hitting our hitters.
