How awesome was it about 15 minutes before it ended? heh.
But yes, awesome indeed, wish I was there. Hopefully I see something close on saturday.
So are you starting to believe in harrison? I know it was against the M’s and all.. but back to back CG’s woo.
the preceding post was a great success.
15 minutes before it ended...
…I was thinking, Hank Blalock, who can hit nothing but fastballs, is coming up against a fastball pitcher, and we’ve got Nellie and Murphy and Davis coming up after him…
I’m not going to sit here and say I thought we were going to win or anything like that, but I definitely felt it was still a real possibility.

This was teh way I was.
If you asked the logical part of my brain if we were going to win, I would obviously tell you it was unlikel. I didn’t rationally “know” we were going to win.
But the emotional part of me was about as confident as I could ever imagine being trailing two in the bottom of the 9th.
I don't think I was ever as sure we were going to win as I was today....

WOOOOO!

Ron Washington...giving hope everywhere to the kids who eat lead paint chips of being a big league manager when they grow up since 2007.
That kid was stupid.
Knox gave him a t-shirt… out of pity, I hope.

Oh, crap...
He was actually fan of the game, wasn’t he? He got a lot more than just a t-shirt. Horrible.

Man
I’m ashamed. I was off this afternoon but couldn’t make the game. I was home, but started feeling crappy and fell asleep on the couch in about the 7th. MIssed the walkoff. Tried rewinding on the DVR but it didn’t go back that far.
Oh well.

did the Mrs. make you say that?
I loved her blogging about your brother, hilarious.

Nope
I just talked to him. He apparently overslept. Until about 3 p.m.
Glad no one else got to use his ticket.

And I’ll bet he’s kicking himself for missing this particular game, now.
Odd hours with his job.
And he prolly is.

It was the Sunday afternoon Face walk-off against KC.
An AMAZING atmosphere. My first day game. EVER.

yea, i was there too, pretty awesome game
I think im 7-1 right now going to games, I went to the two Sunday home wins, yesterdays walk off, all of the first 3 wins against the Indians and the A’s win at home. I’ve been pretty hot so far this year, I should be at all of the games this weekend.
"The House That Ruth Built, 85 years old, goes out as The House That Hamilton Knocked Down"
Ive been to 3 and two were bitter losses
thankfully opening day was pretty sweet.
i still have yet to attend a walk-off that I can remember (maybe a decade ago or something). lots of 9th inning, two men on down by one and such but they couldn’t pull them out.
the preceding post was a great success.
back to back walk offs is something i dunno how many times thats ever even happened
to be there for those, shit guys, it was golden

The Only Ranger Game
I’ve been to was years ago, at Dodger Stadium during an interleague game. I was sitting in left field and all of the fans were heckling Rusty Greer and I remember he kept looking over his shoulder at the hecklers and those idiots got scared. But I remember it most because my favorite player Juan (at the time) went 1 for 5, but hit a shot to dead center. The Rangers won that game, but yeah, its hard to go to Ranger games when you live in L.A. Consider yourselves lucky.

kiker on the bump
for frisco. its being aired on fsn
alright, 6 Ks through five
he’s given up two solo HRs. Has good secondary pitches that are getting lots of swings and misses and his curve is dropping in there for lots of Ks looking. His FB location has been his achilles heel though. Still, he’s looked really good and i continue to love the thought of this guy pitching in some big role for us in the future

yea, his curve is doing good work against lefties
it looks better than the last time i saw him.

Rotation
It’s even more impressive that the sweep came with our 3-4-5 starters on the mound. When’s the last time that happened.

well, most of them do!
Frankie – being awesome for 1 inning
Dutch – being awesome for 2-3 innings
CJ – bridge to frankie if we need it, loogy otherwise. (ok, most people don’t think he can do the first part)
O’Day – Roooooooooogy
Jennings – keep the team in the game for 2-3 innings
Benson – true long reliever
Eddie – Frisbee dispenser
Ok, I may have had to invent a new role or too.
the preceding post was a great success.
You should make a GIF of Eddie's head on one of those candy dispening machines you see in chinese resuraunts
With his mouth dispensing frisbees.

Harrison pitched a GEM
Even going into the bottom of the ninth, you can get a sense that it wasn’t over yet. With the guys coming up, we still had a chance. Even though Blalock struck out 3 previous times, he’s the one that got the clutch hit the night before. And anytime you have a man on and down by one with Davis up, you will either get a k or a home run. We were fortunate to get the bomb. Even though I was hoping for the home run, I had a feeling that Davis would at least tie it, like the other night when he singled (one of the rare times he doesn’t get an xtra base hit). Morrow must be demoralized, after the night before also.
