“I do think they’re legit,” A’s general manager Billy Beane says, “and they’re also going to get better.”
Well I'm sold.
Seriously, though, every day my excitement grows exponentially. That might be a bad thing.
Beane isn’t helping.
Say it with me
Sheets is not going to be ready to pitch in 2009. He hasn’t even been cleared to throw yet.

Doesn't mean we won't sign him in 2009.
"That start was like somebody on a deathbed suddenly jumping up and doing the Lindy Hop, then speeding away on a pogo stick while playing the fiddle." - Telegraph
you keep saying this
but seriously, if he can be ready in four full months he could still help the rangers. He could start throwing within a week… since when is that not enough time?
it would help his FA value to get in a couple good starts and if we somehow miraculously make the playoffs sheets could be huge.
that said I don’t think theres a scenario where he has enough starts to be any big impact on the rangers regular season, which would require him being back pretty soon.
the preceding post was a great success.
Ok, I'll put it this way
I will be very surprised if Sheets is ready to pitch by the end of the season.
