Wow.

When did Seth Rogen start playing for the BNLs?

What a great band

“Gordon” was a great CD.

Too bad Page just left the band.

(Wife) "So what do you want to watch on the T.V.? UFC or porn?"
(Husband) "Hmm... well, porn, I guess."

I actually saw BNL

perform at universal orlando in March… It was their first performance without him… They did pretty good under the circumstances.

If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all.

Well, sorry about this but…

If I had a list of the top 5 bands I dislike the most, BNL would crack the list somewhere in the 3-5 Range.

I’ll give it a shot.

1. Van Halen (David lee Roth era)
2. U2
3. Barenaked Ladies
4. Lynard Skynard
5. Not sure

Looks like commercial success is an important factor.

How about Green Day in the #5 slot.

Honestly,

The radio at my job is killing all sorts of music for me. I hear the same exact songs every god damn day.

Def Leppard, Kiss, and Cheap Trick are all candidates for the #5 slot.

They are a mixed bag for me

I really like Brian Wilson, One Week, some others…

Old Apartment I really don’t like. I never liked If I Had a Million Dollars, either.

If I Had a Million Dollars

is a great song, and is by far my favorite from them. My sister and I have loved that song ever since we were in HS, and we still joke about it and bust out a couple of lines from it from time to time. Whenever that song comes on in the car on my ipod, I sing the F out of it. Barenaked Ladies were/are the ultimate guilty pleasure band. You know its nerd-pop, you know that if you like it you are a complete dork, but its fun as hell and you don’t care.

The 4 bands listed

I have either owned their records/8 tracks/cassettes/DVDs at one time or another.

You list some definite greatness.

Oh believe me

I know they’re all hugely popular. I know I’m in the minority with my opinions and I’m not saying my tastes are any better.

Honestly, most of it is just from over-repeat at work.

You're not alone on the U2 one

I can’t remember who I was arguing with here last year, but I can’t stand U2 and especially not Bono.

By 2028, Mark Teixeira will be in the HOF.

Out of curiosity...

Do you two hate all U2 stuff, or their more recent popular run?

I haven’t really cared for U2’s music outside of The Joshua Tree and The Unforgettable Fire.

by jwiscarson on May 22, 2009 4:43 PM CDT up reply actions

I'd rather listen to The Alarm.

U2

The oldest stuff is best, but all that you cant leave behind was good and how to build an atomic bomb wasnt bad.

I've never been a fan of their music

Not terrible, just not something I really enjoy listening to. I think my hatred of Bono though makes me hate listening to any of their stuff in general.

U2

Great in concert, but never owned an album of theirs.

Sigh ... we are sooo gonna suck again next season.

That is Awful Music

It may not be from the eighties, but it should be banished to some long ago decade never to be heard from again.
