Seems like a good kid
Accepted the pink backpack as right of passage, has a lot of nicknames, ie, wonderkid, recognized he has been thrown in alot of bases loaded situations, had the wet himself moment as a reliever and as starter, charting pitches for Milwood, sees weaknesses in Yanks, but not willing to give it out on radio. Also, Dallas news shows he will be adding curveball to aresonal, but why not just mix in slider more. Only had one slider going through 3 innings in first game.
Sounds like it shoulda been a 12:50 segment.

Sports interviews
tend to be the worst part of any good sports radio show. Most of them are just cliche ridden powerdowns.

The Ticket sucks, its not a sports station, its a clown station. Full of DJ’s that cant get work anywhere else.
Why would they want a Job anywhere else?
They make tons of money to have fun everyday at work. Sounds like a pretty good gig to me.

Do they really makes "tons"?
I don’t think it’s as lucrative as you might expect.
Musers and Hardline
easily make at least mid 6 figures. They are the highest rated shows in the most sought after advertising demographic (18-34 yr old men) in the 4th largest media market.
I can’t confirm this, but I thought Rhyner at least owned a piece of the station once, but it’s been sold 2 or 3 times since. There are ways of looking up people’s home values online, and you’ll see how nice some of these guys are living…..

Rhyner started the station with some investors
It was his baby from the get go.

Yeah
that’s what I thought. I think he made his cash when they sold to susqhanna or however you spell it.

The Observer article on Greg Williams
mentioned $500,000/year range. All those live spots, taped spots, appearances, etc.

Yes. Tons.
The dudes are great, and have the greatest gig in the world, outside of professional sports. Plus, they make a shit ton of money (especially the ones that have been around since the beginning). I too have heard in the 500K/per year range. A shit ton.

half a mil, plus really nice perks
that’s a lot of cheddar.
Plus free cars from DMN Leasing, meals at Bob’s, cases of Belvedere vodka, paid trips to spring training, Super Bowl, etc, etc.
I guess the question is, do you like your gig?

No, that's not the question.
Do you like your job?

When Norm first moved over to The Ticket
He once said he made around $250,000 per year not counting all of his appearances. That was what years ago?

You're right. The money doesn't make the Ticket better to listen to.
It’s the personalities, the chemistry, originality, and hilarious bits that make the Ticket the greatest radio station on the planet.
