Around SBN: Cal RB Jahvid Best Seriously Injured, Carted Off Field

Video: Robbie Ross and Joseph Ortiz

Here's the final entry in my Texas Rangers prospects video series:

Texas Rangers Prospects: Robbie Ross and Joseph Ortiz

I also made a couple of changes to my site's appearance. A couple of excerpts are included below.

Robbie Ross:

Out of the wind-up, Ross has a very high leg kick, reminiscent of Nolan Ryan's leg kick. After the kick, he starts to drift forward before sitting down on his back leg. This loads the leg very well, but it also lowers his potential release point.

Joseph Ortiz:

Ortiz's arm also wraps slightly across his body, but with a more alarming recoil. Ortiz's arm appears to collide with his rib cage after the throw. The collision doesn't appear to be terribly violent, but the leverage caused by the impact can place extra stress on the posterior capsule of the shoulder where the muscles are already contracting to help decelerate the arm.

RR's delivery looks... odd.

My initial reaction is “Yuck”.

But I suppose the Rangers scouts liked what they saw enough to give him 1st round money, so I’ll just have to trust them for now.

The 40 Trumps All!!!

Chris Davis will be fine. Relax.

"Dear dumb ass folowers of FSMism,

There have been a lot of weird things that i have seen in my life before, but this tops them all. Do you really believe that there is/was such a thing as a flying spaghetti monster? Seriously, how fucking old are you? I know there’s such a thing as freedom of speech and expression, but this kinda shit should be banned. Theres is only one God and one Holy Word. Why dont you people get that? How much sense does it make to say that decreasing numbers of pirates lead to an increase in average global temperature? Is that science or some fifth grader trying to sound smart?"
