Hagerstown, MD + questions

for a while, i have been wanting to go see the crawdads play --- the closest places are either hagerstown (nationals affiliate) or the team in salisbury md (baltimore affiliate) ...i decided that when the Hickory Crawdads are in Hagerstown, MD (about an hour and 30 min drive from DC) i am going to go watch them on May 22-23-24 (a fri-sat-sun)  -- all are 635 start times if anyone

first of all, there are next to no Nationals prospects on their Hagerstown team - #6 (Jack McGeary), #13 (derek norris) and #17 (Paul Demny) on John Sickles top 20 -- all B-/C+ guys...so hopefully i can catch McGeary on one of those nights...

Anyway, taking a shot in the dark and wondering if 1) anyone has been to Hagerstown (or the surrounding area) and 2) if any Rangers fans are in the Hagerstown area....if you have been there, any suggestions? strangely, it is on yelp for restaurants lol looks like it has a pretty good german place...only problem is that im not a big fan of german food lol

i am going to go to antietam because ive never been there...anyway, thought id see if anyone had a suggestion or anything and im sure i will be late to the friday game (traffic from DC will probably be HORRIBLE) -- im excited to go, see a new part of the area and get some (hopefully) good pictures!

players im most excited to see:
1) wilmer font
2) lionel de los santos
3) wilfredo boscan

plus mcgeary should be interesting if hes playing

from a quick look at the crawdads stats:
boscan: 17.2 IP, 15:3 k:bb, 6! hits allowed, 1 ER, .51 whip

i really hope hes back -- at least i should have a shot at seeing one of font/perez/boscan!

anyway back to the overall point: has anyone been to hagerstown/seen their stadium?

Live in the area...

but I haven’t been to the stadium in Hagerstown. I live in southwest Frederick County about 15 minutes from Harper’s Ferry. I’m also planning to go see at least one of the games, perhaps two. Other than that, my only experience with Hagerstown has been to use the FedEx office and golf.

I also think the series is a weekend wraparound (i.e., Fri-Mon) since Monday will be Memorial Day.
