Jon Daniels Chat at DMN blog
DMN chat earlier today with Jon Daniels. Some of the questions were good and Daniels was candid, as usual.

A couple of quotes I liked
About Chris Davis:
If we’re going to develop our own, we’ve got to be willing to let them go through some growing pains. There could come a time when a young player needs to regroup, but we’re not there.
And about Main’s start:
The coverage of our minor leagues is outstanding – but it can also lead to some unnecessary hand-wringing. Young players struggle at times. Important not to overreact to the positive or the negative.
Daniels’ levelheadedness is one of the things I like about him.

JD reads LSB
That said, I’ve been pleased with Ron’s moves – he gets a lot of heat on some blogs and not enough credit, in my opinion.

Must admit, that was just about my first thought too.
I’m sure every blog denizen thought the same thing, heh.

This is far from
the only blog criticizing Washington.

on Frankies workload
We monitor our pitchers’ useage carefully. Frankie had thrown 29 pitches over 2 days before coming in yesterday. Before that he’d thrown just once in the previous 3 days (maybe 4? I don’t have it in front of me). He’s 29, not 22. When it gets to a certain point, Ron & Mike will tell him he’s not available. If it’s close, as it was yesterday, they listen to how the pitcher is feeling and what the game situation is. Last night, we had the 2-3-4 hitters coming up in a 1-run division game and Frankie said he felt great. That’s his job. Closers on good teams pitch a lot. This is a good problem to have… That said, we monitor these things and will make sure Frankie (and everyone else) gets the rest they need.

So
If Feldman turns out to be fo’ real then the hated Mark Connor should get lotsa cred for originally proposing raising his arm angle.

whose idea was it for Feldman to lower his arm angle after we drafted him?
The delivery he is using now is the same one he used in college, the shift to sidearm was made after joining the Rangers. I wonder whose idea that was?
Doctor please. Some more of these.

Not sure who's idea it was exactly
But remember that it was only after he went under the knife for TJ surgery.
By 2028, Mark Teixeira will be in the HOF.
