Ummm.
Top prospect Neftali Feliz has right shoulder soreness. He saw a doctor, who said there's nothing structurally wrong. Feliz is on medication and will rest for two to three days before throwing again. He will not make his scheduled start tonight. He hasn't thrown since a bullpen Wednesday.

Nothing structurally wrong.
Does that imply an MRI was performed?

There is no such thing...
as over reacting when you hear the Rangers top pitching prospect has shoulder soreness. My first reaction was probably the same as many people’s, “Shit, I hope this isn’t serious”.

It would be an overreaction
…if, say, you went home and beat your wife or shot somebody. At least I think so.

Leave it to Boy Blunder...
to trade a future Hall of Famer for a broken pitching prospect.

I agree
and to think we could have been paying this same chap 18 mil a year to hit .200 in April. Rather than this K machine we have at 1st now, the guy who will always suck and go nowhere… damn this GM just can’t do anything right

I'm not worried at all
I have it on good authority from a non-emotional savvy source that he will be fine and pitching like Pedro in no time.

thinking about our injured pitchers in the past
Best I can remember, Aki, CJ, Hurley, Benoit, and maybe others all get a report of no structural damage initially. I’m hoping for the best, but the clean initial report just doesn’t comfort me at all, we’ve seen too many instances like this that ended poorly.
Doctor please. Some more of these.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

mormons stole me and held me against my will with Oklahoma beer and 12+ hour work days.
you would think...
they would shut him down for more than 2-3 days if this was anything more than super minor.
Unsettling, to be sure.
Jason Parks commented over on BBTiA awhile back that Feliz’ arm was “just tired” in regards to his control problems so far this year. And now we get this news…
Unsettling.
"That start was like somebody on a deathbed suddenly jumping up and doing the Lindy Hop, then speeding away on a pogo stick while playing the fiddle." - Telegraph
FWIW
Watched him last Sunday in his last outing. Looked fine all game and had no drop in velocity in the last inning.

Is Mark Connor working with our minor league pitchers?
