A task for someone with some free time
Someone with some free time and some basic math skills needs to go through the pitch f/x data for Matt Harrison for the period from his first start through the 2nd inning of that game where Maddux yelled at him, and then from the 3rd inning of that game through yesterday.
I'd love to look at a comparison of his pitch velocities before and after, his percentage of pitches before and after, his location before and after...basically, what is different?

I'll take it
I did the start in Baltimore and can update to include the stats you wanted if I forgot anything.
I’m already started working on his start from yesterday and I’ll get to his start in between as soon as I can.

What I'd be interested in seeing...
…is a comparison between his velocity for his various types of pitches before this 18 inning stretch and then during that stretch, along with a breakdown of the percentage of each type of pitch he threw before this good stretch and then during.
And maybe a pitch f/x graph plotting the location of his pitches during the good stretch, and before the good stretch, so we can see if he’s locating his pitches better (or, really, how much better he’s locating his pitches).

yep
I thought the goatee was working some magic and letting him pitch great. Then he goes and shaves it and pitches a CG shutout. Must have been holding him back from truly taking it to the next level.
By 2028, Mark Teixeira will be in the HOF.
