Years ago

before I became a cop I was a sports reporter at a small West Texas TV station and I got to go to Cowboys camp when it was in San Antonio. Bill Parcells hilariously destroyed Renner in the daily press conference…needless to say, it was really easy to not be “that guy” when Renner was around.

i just counted like 27 LSB’ers that popped up in the new comments when we won

i don’t think i’ve ever seen that many at one time in the new comments pop-up box

but i could have been off on the count by say 4 or 5. cause the pop-up box doesn’t stay to long so it could have been say 22 or 23. But i counted over 20 at one time and i thought it was 27 when i counted

a pretty rangey play, but gloved and thrown pretty routinely.

by shroomer on Jun 11, 2009 10:12 PM CDT up reply actions   0 recs

yeah

like i said, really hard to tell if it is rangey or not. The eyes deceive me a little – hardly looked like he went over there with any effort, but he was on or on on the other side of 2nd base. don’t think he was playing over that direction any more than usual

You do realize that Elvis is in contention for ROTY, solely because of his incredible defense. He’s WAY better than MY ever was at SS, and has saved an incredible amount of hits and runs this season. Plus, HE’S 20!!!!!!!!!!!! I just——-you know what. Forget it.

I’m not going to argue with someone over whether Elvis Andrus is good defensively or not.

You forgot to mention the part where Elvis Andrus leads all AL SS's in UZR

His 6.0 is almost a full run better than Marco Scutaro’s 5.1.

And to give a measuring stick as to how good they’ve both been, third place is Alexi Ramirez at 2.5. Everyone else is 1.5 and below.

So, to conclude, not only is Elvis Andrus better than MY at short, he has been a fucking greek god of defense there this year.

I live in that general area

and it’s nicer than many believe…definitely not as fun as Austin, but as far as Oklahoma goes, it’s terrific. And it’s a good academic school, as much as a Texan born and bred hates to admit that there are good things about o.u. If my son goes there (in 17 years), I think it’d be good (except for 12 Saturdays in the fall, of course).

so that my Dad will be wrong on yet another sports prediction. “Kobe will never win anything ever again without Shaq carrying his carcass around the court.” So far, he’s come up with such gems as “LeBron will end up being terrible compared to Carmelo” and, the infamous “that is the final time the Rangers will be over 500 (when they went 1 game under earlier in the season before they went nuts on that big tear).” I don’t really like Kobe, but my brother and I take pleasure when my dad falls flat on his face with his terrible sports predictions.

excluding Apr/May 2006 due to sample size

but i could give 2 shits how many extra base hits he has. i want him to quit swinging at 1st pitches and not working counts and not making pitchers pitch to him and throw a bunch of pitches.

if your leadoff hitter isnt making the pitcher throw lotsa pitches, he isnt doing his job. right now, he is a #6 hitter pretending to be a leadoff hitter.

i mentioned it to sum1 else and they threw out the idea that a lot of the people there were out-of-towners who do the 6 flags, wetnwild, obligatory BPIA run and thats why they were so uninvolved.

NBA Basketball

only sport I’d rather just watch something else until the last 1:00 and even then if you just tell me who won, I just say, “ok, thanks”

betting against a team you are supposedly a lifelong fan of is lame

find something else to bet on if you think they will lose?

the preceding post was a great success.

When did you place your bet????

Orlando was +2.5 just prior to game time

Shaq ruined Nick

Before Shaq he would drive to the hoop. After Shaq arrived he and Dennis Scott were simply 3 poot shooters.

Messi v. Cristiano Ronaldo in the CL was like that maybe moreso

only both are under 24, it was like if labron and koby were peers, which they really arent since koby is a good bit older.

otherwise, u got it nailed,

mormons stole me and held me against my will with Oklahoma beer and 12+ hour work days.
