well, that was about

as unfunny as something can get (aside from anything on MadTV of course, but that goes without saying)

Why can't we watch Cheers?

Just occurred to me the other night that you can’t find that show on TV anymore. Pretty much any random Cheer’s clip on youtube is better than that.

Remember Red, hope is a good thing. Maybe the best of things. And no good thing ever dies.

Cheers, Mary Tyler Moore, and the Sein

The holy trinity (and please nobody chime in w/ Mash. Ugh).

I'd replace Cheers

with either Taxi or Bob Newhart(Chicago), but otherwise that sounds about right.

Adam

One of these days, you have to post Wyckyd Sceptre.

I think that and the Globo-Chem sketch (It’s Pit Pat!) are probably my two favorite Mr. Show sketches…

Too much cursing in Wyckyd Sceptre

But that one is one of my favorites.

lol @ Milton Bradley!!!

OMG.

Popup with one out and two men on, catches the ball, poses for a moment, then throws the ball into the stands.

Wow.

The look on Lou’s face when they cut to him was priceless.

I can’t stop laughing.

That’s gonna be shown a lot.

The 40 Trumps All!!!

Chris Davis will be fine. Relax.

Dear God that play made my day.

I was kind of half watching it cause it’s the only game on right now and I was wondering what the hell he was doing cause he posed all gansta and standing sideways as he caught the ball, then just stood there holding the pose for a few seconds after as the runner on third scored and the runner on first was like, “WTF?” and scampered to second… then he just tossed the ball into the stands.

The Lou Pinella face was priceless.

I loved MOB while he was here, but thank the good lord we didn’t have to see much of him in the field.

love mr show

especially love the joke about the milk machine (look it up!)

“why can’t people keep their willies out of holes?”

Hall of Fame pitcher Nolan Ryan was on the same pitching staff with Danny Darwin during the 1986 through 1988 seasons. Both were described by Milo Hamilton as "tall, tough Texans." It was a source of debate amongst Astros players and fans over who would win in a fight, Ryan or Darwin. Though Astros pitcher Bob Knepper attempted to set up a fight between the two during spring training in 1988, manager Hal Lanier stopped it before it could commence. Many experts, including Astros shortstop Rafael Ramirez, felt that Darwin would win because he "looked like someone no man would want to mess with."

Bob Odenkirk had a wicked turn on Breaking Bad this season as a sleazy defense lawyer

This sketch, not so much.

Yeah, I hope they bring him back, which i don't see why they wouldn't

I’m interested to see what they do w/ Giancarlo Esposito, as well. Seems poised to play a central role next year.

What did you think of the finale? I liked the Skylar move, but thought the resolution with the Jesse’s gf’s dad was pretty contrived and tv lameage.

I was OK with it

I know a lot of people hated the plane crash, mostly because they thought the flash-forwards were suggesting that the Mexican cartel would come after Walt.

Someone pointed out after the finale that if you took the episode titles with the flash-forwards, it spelled out what was going to happen- Seven Thirty Seven/Down/Over/ABQ. I thought that was pretty clever.

I’m curious to see how Walt keeps Hank from digging into his activities, now that Skylar’s left him. That’s going to require an explanation. And yeah, I can’t wait to see how Giancarlo Esposito’s character is going to be involved next season.

Other than Cranston

I don’t know the actors’ names. Esposito…who’s that? Jesse?

by Black Francis on Jun 12, 2009 10:32 PM CDT up reply actions

Esposito

He was Gus, the chicken restaurant owner/meth lord.

Jesse is played by Aaron Paul- if any of you watch Big Love, he plays Sarah’s older boyfriend, Scott, on that show. Two very different roles.
