Lineup*
and
Josh Hamilton, who had surgery last Tuesday, threw from about 70 feet but did not put a timeline on when he would return. He was expected to miss four to six weeks from the surgery
Closer Frank Francisco threw a bullpen Tuesday and said his right shoulder was “money”. Francisco will make a rehab appearance Thursday for either Double A Frisco or Triple A Oklahoma City.

Not gonna get get upset until this series pan out.
RW is doing absolutely zilch right now when it comes to getting something going for this lineup. I don’t consider it punishment if the guys get moved around. You would have to be one of three blind mice to not see something needs to be done to get these guys motivated. That’s just me though.

Mine is Diamond
Bryan Smith (12:17:17 PM PT): Justin Smoak and Josh Hamilton. The AL West might just have found their Bash Brothers, v. 2.0.

in 4 years after 8 more trips to the DL he will retire a rough rider
Hall of Fame pitcher Nolan Ryan was on the same pitching staff with Danny Darwin during the 1986 through 1988 seasons. Both were described by Milo Hamilton as "tall, tough Texans." It was a source of debate amongst Astros players and fans over who would win in a fight, Ryan or Darwin. Though Astros pitcher Bob Knepper attempted to set up a fight between the two during spring training in 1988, manager Hal Lanier stopped it before it could commence. Many experts, including Astros shortstop Rafael Ramirez, felt that Darwin would win because he "looked like someone no man would want to mess with."
He can be that power righty maybe
Or he can go into the long man role and you can send Mathis or Holland down. Holland back into the rotation to get consistent innings

Don't you mean stupid sonafabitch Team President?
He’s ultimately responsible for everything.
Remember Red, hope is a good thing. Maybe the best of things. And no good thing ever dies.
Do you think Nolan makes out line-up, WR?
"Dying ain't hard. It's living that's hard."
Just restating your always-moving position
No, I don’t think Nolan fills out the lineups but he’s ultimately responsible, good and bad.
Remember Red, hope is a good thing. Maybe the best of things. And no good thing ever dies.
I never maintained that Nolan made out line-ups.
He gets outta da way and lets people do their jobs – then he evaluates.
Washington is stuck in a rut and isn’t smart enough to make adjustments.
"Dying ain't hard. It's living that's hard."
Then Nolan is dumb for keeping him around
By your logic.
Remember Red, hope is a good thing. Maybe the best of things. And no good thing ever dies.
Nolan has a macro view
and it’s his mere presence that makes everybody better at their job.
Just check the standings!

Reason # 2789 that Lewin is a toolbox.............
He said that the 29-32 Astros are “in the right division” if they hope to stay in the race.
Hey, Josh- 1st place in NL Central has 35 wins. The Rangers have 35 wins.
Yes, the NL Central is mediocre. Which is about a half-step above the AL West.
we're eight games over. Brewers are only 6 over.
I don’t think the NL Central is any better than our division.
I'm just goofin' new boot goofin'
Yeah
how about the ALC? The NLW and the ALE are the only two divisions in which the Astros would be in worse shape than they’re in.

So Wash not only puts Murphy in the line-up v the lefty
but he hits him 5th.
Nice.
"Dying ain't hard. It's living that's hard."
split up the lefties
Either Murph 5th or Murph 6th and push Davis down to 8th
Bryan Smith (12:17:17 PM PT): Justin Smoak and Josh Hamilton. The AL West might just have found their Bash Brothers, v. 2.0.
He's batting
.315 for the month of June. Who else is anywhere near that hot? Why should Murphy sit for Boggs? At least he’ll look at a pitch rather than hack away like Byrd and Blalock.
huh?
I was giving a reason why Murphy was hitting 5th. Hes been good in June but hes terrible against lefties which makes 5th questionable. But with Davis also in to split them up Murphy is going to hit 5th
