Josh Hamilton, who had surgery last Tuesday, threw from about 70 feet but did not put a timeline on when he would return. He was expected to miss four to six weeks from the surgery
Closer Frank Francisco threw a bullpen Tuesday and said his right shoulder was “money”. Francisco will make a rehab appearance Thursday for either Double A Frisco or Triple A Oklahoma City.

RW is doing absolutely zilch right now when it comes to getting something going for this lineup. I don’t consider it punishment if the guys get moved around. You would have to be one of three blind mice to not see something needs to be done to get these guys motivated. That’s just me though.

Hall of Fame pitcher Nolan Ryan was on the same pitching staff with Danny Darwin during the 1986 through 1988 seasons. Both were described by Milo Hamilton as "tall, tough Texans." It was a source of debate amongst Astros players and fans over who would win in a fight, Ryan or Darwin. Though Astros pitcher Bob Knepper attempted to set up a fight between the two during spring training in 1988, manager Hal Lanier stopped it before it could commence. Many experts, including Astros shortstop Rafael Ramirez, felt that Darwin would win because he "looked like someone no man would want to mess with."

He can be that power righty maybe

Or he can go into the long man role and you can send Mathis or Holland down. Holland back into the rotation to get consistent innings

I was giving a reason why Murphy was hitting 5th. Hes been good in June but hes terrible against lefties which makes 5th questionable. But with Davis also in to split them up Murphy is going to hit 5th

i'll take the under

BTW

I’m walking in a Relay For Life this weekend. I usually end up doing four or five miles by the time the night is over. I’ve decided to do one mile for every HR the Rangers hit in this series. Ha ha. Kinsler has me at two already.

I'd certainly try and get those in

I’ll only have a few hours in which to walk it. I’m on the committee, so I’ll have a lot of other things to do during the 12 hour event.

Further proof Ian needs to hit 1st from this point forward

If he’s hitting a HR in each AB, he needs to get the most ABs on the team

I really hate that MMS texting won’t be included in tomorrow’s iPhone 3.0 software release, but will rather be later this summer.
