So, the A's are back to sucking already.

And how many people picked the As to win the West?

Think I said the Angels would win the AL West
in a photo finish with the A’s (and that the Rangers would go 73-89).
I also said Tiny E would be a fucking disaster.
It appears the pendulum of accurate predictions concerning the Texas Rangers may have swung the other way for Josey Wales this year.

That is not anywhere close to a complete list of incorrect predictions made by yourself.
So don’t pat yourself on the back too hard just yet, even if the season isn’t even half way over.

Hey it's a start
Give the Outlaw a break. It’s step 1 of 12.

Methinks step two will hang him up for quite a while..

Yeah, I even caved
And said they probably had the best shot of the three chasers this year at beating the Angels.
Pretty much everyone overestimated Beane’s offseason pickups and underestimated how much our defense would improve, it seems.

Not me
The writings of Gdawg aren’t for everyone though
By 2028, Mark Teixeira will be in the HOF.

I see what you did there...
Very nice.

The Angels just got throw facing the shittiest pitchers of one of the worst hitting teams in baseball. They are not going to have it nearly as easy going forward, and meanwhile, we just went through likely the worst portion of our entire schedule… It will come back around
"The House That Ruth Built, 85 years old, goes out as The House That Hamilton Knocked Down"
through, damn i suck at getting words all mixed up
"The House That Ruth Built, 85 years old, goes out as The House That Hamilton Knocked Down"
Plus we get to face them after we get done beating up on the NL
By 2028, Mark Teixeira will be in the HOF.

Actually, August is probably gonna be the worst part of our schedule
Road trips to Anaheim, TB, NY and Minnesota (who has the second-best home record in the AL), and we also have to play Boston at home.
Of course we do get Oakland and Cleveland (albeit on the road) and four against Minny at home (they’ve been terrible on the road) so that could offset things.

That's August though
We’ll have Lincecum and Pujols on our team by that time

do you think we could trade our entire top 20 for one and half of those two
cuz id do it
"The House That Ruth Built, 85 years old, goes out as The House That Hamilton Knocked Down"
funny thing
Assume that both Chris Davis and Albert Pujols continues their current offense production over the entire season, replacing Davis with Pujols gets you about 7 extra wins for the rest of the season.
yea, i probably should have said to date, but then again, these two stretches are about equal on paper
it also matters somewhat who’s playing, what pitchers we face, and how those teams are playing.
"The House That Ruth Built, 85 years old, goes out as The House That Hamilton Knocked Down"
yeah, hard to read too much into that Angels streak
I don’t think anyone can emphasize exactly how awful the Padres are. They have three good players: Adrian Gonzalez (one of the best players in baseball), Jake Peavy (probably a top tier pitcher), and Heath Bell.
Other than a few other guys who’d probably make teams happy to have (Young, Hairston), it is a AAA club.
I just look forward to their games against the Rangers and am jealous of the M’s for getting to play them 6 times. (the real shocker is that King Feliz even gave up two hits to that club – must not have had his best stuff)
Go Rice Owls!
Scott Hairston is pretty good
But he’s also been on the DL now. Hope he stays there when they come to Arlington, but I doubt it.

Hairston
he’s having a very good year. I would guess he’s probably a Marlon Byrd type outfielder – one of those guys who may be league average, may be a little worse, or may be quite productive any given year. I wouldn’t want to rely on him to anchor any one outfield position, but he’s great to have around to fill in for whatever position you need him.
Go Rice Owls!
I think Rick Porcello's Dad was in that group.
Okay, bad baseball/Dad joke.
"I saw your act, just didn't make it for me. Just a lot of fluff."
We get to face them next, so hopefully it'll even out.

Woot.
Despite the gap closing, despite the hot Angels, despite the inconsistent play…Your Texas Rangers are STILL in 1st place! I can live with that.
