minors thread failure... June 18 2009
Failure refers to the state or condition of not meeting a desirable or intended objective
minors thread reg posters Kinslerhomer, FirebatM3, RangerMad. laimP, blalock84, hightowersmith have failed to post a minors thread for 6/18
t ball and tricer has filled in on emergancy purposes but failed tonight
lonestarJon minors after the fact thread stuff and saltydawg minors anybody interested failed too
Not having a LSB minors thread for tonight is inexcusible and totally unexceptab:e. It is impossible to excuse or justify why no minors thread was posted

Bryan Smith (12:17:17 PM PT): Justin Smoak and Josh Hamilton. The AL West might just have found their Bash Brothers, v. 2.0.

definitely not a night for pitchers on the farm
WTF is up with Whittleman? 4-5 with two 2B
Elvis Andrus - 2009 AL Rookie of the Year
Mitch Moreland - 2009 Rangers Minor League POY
zero
home runs this year. Zero. He takes walks, but that’s it, that’s all he’s got.

Frisco = Fail tonight...
they were up 12 -1 and going to the b9, it is 13-13… uh oh
"The House That Ruth Built, 85 years old, goes out as The House That Hamilton Knocked Down"
Mitch fucking Moreland
3-5, 2B
He was batting .321 in 84 at bats coming into the game with 6bb, 10k in Frisco.
.367obp .476slg .843ops
When does small sample size no longer apply?
Tim Smith so far is 4 for 5 and Craig Gentry is 4 for 6
Obviously nobody can pitch in Frisco tonight but we may have something between the three of them there. If Smoak gets healthy and they get just average pitching they could be a 2nd half playoff team.
Large tracts of Land
He’s not walking as much in Frisco so far, but encouraging start there.

Borbon has also had another solid night
OKC is in the 10th but so far 3 for 5 with another walk.
He still doesn’t walk enough but on the season before tonight he had 20 walks and 26 strikeouts in 265 at bats. That’s a pretty impressive contact rate.
Would you rather
have him K 100 times a yr and walk 100 times a year or something like he is doing now. 40ks and 40 walks for the season
he is not Adam Dunn
he needs to make contact and use his speed.
Elvis Andrus - 2009 AL Rookie of the Year
Mitch Moreland - 2009 Rangers Minor League POY
are y'all talking borbon
or whom? Yeah if it’s borbon I’d like him to improve the walks cause there’s no power. If it’s Moreland I just want to see him keep on keeping on so a solid number of bats can give a more accurate assessment of his bat in AA.
Borbon
I am starting to think he needs to be called up and play CF. Let Josh DH when he comes back. I am not sure what to do with the batting order. You don’t want CD, Salty, Andrus and Borbon at the bottom of the line up.
I don’t want JD to panic but I also don’t want him to wake up one day and the Rangers are 5 games in back of LAAAA.
Elvis Andrus - 2009 AL Rookie of the Year
Mitch Moreland - 2009 Rangers Minor League POY
so borbon gets called up
what to do about Cruz , Murphy, Byrd, Jones

He uses it very well
Just following the games, I think he might be figuring out more and more that he can take over innings.
