still in first!
Hall of Fame pitcher Nolan Ryan was on the same pitching staff with Danny Darwin during the 1986 through 1988 seasons. Both were described by Milo Hamilton as "tall, tough Texans." It was a source of debate amongst Astros players and fans over who would win in a fight, Ryan or Darwin. Though Astros pitcher Bob Knepper attempted to set up a fight between the two during spring training in 1988, manager Hal Lanier stopped it before it could commence. Many experts, including Astros shortstop Rafael Ramirez, felt that Darwin would win because he "looked like someone no man would want to mess with."
Our recent .500'ness isn't bothering me nearly as much as the Angel's recent 1.000'ness.
Seriously, do those effers ever lose?
The 40 Trumps All!!!
Everyone needs to drive a vehicle, even the very tall. This was the largest auto I could afford. Should I therefore be made the subject of fun?
I second that!
I thought it be all warm and shitty, but it just tasted like normal beer. It was still cold.
well
we got some games against the giants and they have some against the dodgers.
if we can go 2-1 and they can go 1-2 that would be rad.
it’s hoping for a lot i know.

I'm not worried about the Angels just yet
but I am worried about the Rangers and this 6 game roadie brings up visions of a “Bad Moon Risin.”
We’re going to the NL and trying to win games with a struggling Tiny E plus a pitcher in the line-up along with The Black Hole. If the top of the order doesn’t come out of their shoes, we’re screwed.
The Rangers can get out of this skid but the line-up needs some major adjustments – we need people who get on base more often than they presently are-and Wash isn’t very good when it comes to doing something different that works.
"Dying ain't hard. It's living that's hard."
Angels are on a 6 game win streak.
Rangers are still in first place.
Those 2 sentences seem very odd so close to each other. Who would have thought?
