your favorite bad guy is back on LSB
2009 Rangers and Beyond....
My piece today will mainly have to do with the Rangers and their recent struggles on offense. I read the article in the Star-Telegram today and I must say I agree 100%. This team does need to inject more youth into the everyday line-up. I have a few suggestions as I think this team can be serious contenders in 2010 and beyond, God-Willing.
First off, they need to find people that will trade for Byrd, Blalock, Padilla, Jones. They need to let go every day Eddie and replace him with a young arm in the pen from the minor leagues. In exchange for the guys they trade, they can bring up Max, Bourbon, Feliz, and keep Boggs up. Then, around August or September they should go out and sign Ben Sheets and let him get a few "warm-up" starts under his belt this season and get him ready for next year.
- Start next season with Smoak as your 1B and Max/Davis as your DH's...you can also have Davis and Smoak play 1B one giving the other a day off here and there.
- Now you have an infield of Young, Elvis, Kinsler, Smoak...Salty at Catcher with Max also backing him up (trade Teagarden + prospect for Bucholz) in the OF, you have Bourbon in CF, Josh in LF, and Cruz in RF.
- Your rotation would be...Sheets, Bucholz(sp?), Millwood, Holland, Feldmen...Feliz will start in the pen along with McCarthy who I think is better suited for the pen anyway.
Therefore, next year you'll have a fresh, young team ready to roll with a pretty good start five. You'll have the new Scoreboards all over the Ballpark in Center Field. and God-willing, we'll have a new owner (Mark Cuban would be awesome)

hey that would work
but the prospect would have to be Feliz, Holland, or Smoak so that kind of throws a wrench into the rest of the scenario.

Well, I could be wrong...
But I’m not.
Sucks.
He hasn’t been funny for a couple of years now. I think the last funny thing he said was, “Come on guys, let’s be real, the Indians deserved what they got,” or something like that., which was funny, except for the fact that he actually believed it.
Time to face the painful truth: Sharky is the Dane Cook of LSB, and you and Z are the adoring frat boys screaming from the 2nd row.

I live in Northern Virginia
From the Big F, but haven’t resided there for many years.
Got back Sat. night, had an effin blast. You will like Newport, too. Make sure you stay downtown on the water. If you want Newport ideas, email me.
Saw Faneiul, the Common, the USS Constitution, Bunk hill, had some dopeass Eyetalian food on the North Side at Massomino’s, and lobstah rolls are now my new most favoritest sandwich. Didn’t make it to Cambridge or Fenway.
What all did you do and see there?

oh wow you got to see a lot..
I didn’t see as much as you, just Fenway, Prudential Center, Copley Square, Cheers bar, Boston Common and everything on that side of the city, drove by Faneiul, looked really cool. What a beautiful city though.
I’m with you on the lobtsah rolls being a new favorite, I’m in Provincetown now which is quite charming and loaded with places that sell em. I’m afraid I may start growing claws if I don’t stop. I’ll just be driving though Newport and stopping for a little work, thanks anyways. Glad you had fun in Beantown, it’s kinda hard not to.

It's been a while
I guess the stay at Guantanamo kept you unaware that Mark Cuban has no interest in the Rangers?
