Chris Davis seems too low
My biggest problem with the UZR rating system is that it judges the position of first base unfairly. Crush has saved a lot of other people’s ratings by picking throws in the dirt, and I’m not confident that is reflected in his UZR. I’ve watched a lot of other firstbasemen who either can’t pick throws in the dirt, or don’t do it as well as Davis or Tex or whoever, and the degree of difficulty of those picks is so subjective.

adjusted in.
Of course, to make it realistic, you’d have to adjust Young’s and especially Andrus’ numbers downwards as much as you adjust Davis’ upwards.
I agree that most of the big plays that Davis makes are on bad throws from the left side of the infield. Andrus by himself probably has another 7-8 throwing errors with a lesser 1B.
