As I said, I didn’t see that coming…at all. Iniesta not playing plays a part but, even without him, that team is so loaded with talent that you would expect them to just continually apply pressure until the US team finally succumbs. Now, I only followed the gamecast so I am not certain of how it all played out (replay on ESPN Classics tonight?), but this win looks amazing for the US team that looked poor against Brazil and couldn’t quite hold off Italy.
Hopefully I can watch this match tonight when I get home (after UT/LSU and Texas/Arizona, of course).
