Alien Ant Farm did a re-make of it in 2001

It was on the list of songs Clear Channel put out after the 9/11 attacks that stations might not want to play… other songs included “I Feel Safe in New York City” by AC/DC.

Glad to have been of service. _

I just could NOT remember the title. It was rolling around in my tired brain.

yep

Im not convinced he’s figured out how to regain the ability to hit a hard fastball, but this certaintly has to be a huge boon to his confidence. I think the funk he’s been in would get to anyone, tonight might just rejuvenate him once again to snap out of it for good.

Yeah

I hope he has figured it out, but my one concern is still whether he can hit a 95+ fb

he had a monster game though

by Horns130 on Jun 26, 2009 2:20 AM CDT up reply actions   0 recs

It looks like

according to Gameday he hit 2- 89 MPH 4 seamers, a 89 MPH sinker, and a 79 mph changeup.

He has hit hard fastballs last year, hopefully this outing shakes him loose. We could use a few hitters hitting.

I remember him last year hitting mammoth

oppo field hrs off fastballs. Maybe he’s lost that approach a bit.

His swing looked a ton smoother.

It didn’t look like he was jumping at the ball at the last second and overswinging.

by Redcaps on Jun 26, 2009 8:56 AM CDT up reply actions   0 recs

The most important thing

I saw was the fact that he looked comfortable and confident at the plate…which is how he looked all season last year.

by ramjam36 on Jun 26, 2009 9:22 AM CDT up reply actions   0 recs

he kept his head down on every hit I saw

and the strikeout it looked to me like he pulled his head out. I think that’s the key for him

I defend CD all the way up ’til the SF series. Then I finally give in and throw in the towel on him and think he should be sent down. So of course he breaks out today.

I still own him in three of four leagues. One is a dynasty, I drafted him in another (but got Reynolds off the waiver-wire, a godsend) and I picked him off the wire in another where I haven’t had a proper 3B all year, thanks to missing the draft.

Highly disappointed in myself

Fell asleep somewhere in the 10th or 11th, woke up in the 12th to see the Murphy jack and then fell back asleep comforted by the 3 run lead, then got up this morning to learn that I missed a Davis jack along the way.

Good win, and good night for the offense. All the starters get a hit, many of them timely and with runners on, Davis shows signs of breaking out, and Ian Freaking Kinsler draws two walks. Good stuff. The team (and us) desperately needed that.

Now all we need to do is destroy the Padres, and we'll be in good shape heading into the Angels series

Unfortunately, this team is gonna be pretty tired today after their ordeal last night.

Be interesting to see if Wash sits any of his regulars who played that entire game today – I just hope CD ain’t one of them.
