The padres are 10-25 on the road and their only good starter is on the DL
Anything less than 2-1 is horrible.
the preceding post was a great success.
Not only that
but I fully expect about 6 of the Rangers players to fall asleep in the dugout because the Padres are so boring to watch
Go Rice Owls!
Kinda what I was thinking above.

Let's not SUCK!!!!
I thought it be all warm and shitty, but it just tasted like normal beer. It was still cold.
I expect nothing less than a sweep
And if they don’t do it, I’m sending hate mail to every Texas Rangers player and coach.
We can also throw poop at their houses.

go team go!
rangers win 5-2
let’s do this!!!

Hall of Fame pitcher Nolan Ryan was on the same pitching staff with Danny Darwin during the 1986 through 1988 seasons. Both were described by Milo Hamilton as "tall, tough Texans." It was a source of debate amongst Astros players and fans over who would win in a fight, Ryan or Darwin. Though Astros pitcher Bob Knepper attempted to set up a fight between the two during spring training in 1988, manager Hal Lanier stopped it before it could commence. Many experts, including Astros shortstop Rafael Ramirez, felt that Darwin would win because he "looked like someone no man would want to mess with."

whats up with this… same thing on all sbn sites. they need to revert that back immediately.

Cool, the team is still playing Michael in the clubhose today.
It didn’t really affect me at all, until I heard some of his old school early stuff today. I remember that stuff being huge when I was a kid. Takes me back…

Murphy and young
121 games, 44 combined rbi.
the horror.
Murph had 74 in 104 games last year.
the preceding post was a great success.
Young has been
disastrous with RISP, which I suppose is just regression to the mean, because he was better than usual in RISP in previous years.

Yikes…
I’d expect that to rebound significantly before the year is over, but good Lord that line is ugly so far…
For comparison... Career line with RISP
.327/.381/.465/.846
obviously better than 09 but he didn't do too much with RISP in 08 either if i recall
but the streak from 04-07 was pretty incredible.
the preceding post was a great success.
let us remember, when demanding a sweep..
that these guys got back here at about 6 or 6:30 this morning.

4:45 at the airport
So I imagine about 5:30 to their houses
But I imagine they slept on the plane after a first class meal and didn’t have to be at the ballpark till this afternoon. Millwood came back ahead of the team so hes fine. I don’t buy into all the travel tires them out talk like some people.

They have it a lot better thans we would, but
it doesn’t take much of a disruption to throw you off a little, and that is enough at this level. Let’s hope they can fight thru it.

Oh then thats a change then
He hasn’t been throwing in back to back games yet this year so I just assumed he wouldn’t be available tonight. Im sure hes probably a last resort but its good to hear he can go on back to back nights now
Bryan Smith (12:17:17 PM PT): Justin Smoak and Josh Hamilton. The AL West might just have found their Bash Brothers, v. 2.0.
He also said he has never told anyone he was not available.
Just that it seems like Mike & Wash are being careful with him. He expects to win them over and be allowed to go back to back soon.
That could really help in the 2nd half. 1 inning one night, and maybe a tough righty or two the next night.

So, yeah
Strike 3 to Davis was a good pitch…where he screwed up was looking fastball on the 3-1 pitch. You’ve got an open base and a pitch who hasn’t been throwing junk all night…that was poor decision making…
LEAVE CHRIS DAVIS ALONE!

Thats why i think its his pitch recognition more than anything mechanical
If you are looking fastball you should be able to lay off a curve unless you had made up your mind prior to the pitch that you were swinging which is a whole nother can of worms

Wow
8 run lead, and we have Grilli rather than Mathis warming up.
Seems like the time to get Mathis 4 innings of work. Or Eyre a couple of innings.
No kidding

But maybe Grilli is warming up in case Millwood gets into more trouble and can’t finish the inning.

If Kouz had gone yard it would have become a 5 run game and I can see using Grilli for an out or an inning.
