Thats one way to announce to the board you aren't a serious Ranger fan
Ask about probably one of the most important series in the last few years

You haven't
had a negative exchange with any of the ladies because most of them, like me, just scroll through your posts. Women don’t need to have pissing contests and puff our chests out in order to make a point. We think it’s stupid.
The only reason I got involved in this one is because it brought the subject of women up, and there are very few of us here. And I think I am likely one of the most vocal here and am not afraid to get into a fray. It’s just that your frays are usually ridiculous. I have a hard time taking someone seriously when it is so obvious to me that they would rather be right (to the detriment of the team) than have to admit that they were wrong. That makes for the second worst type of fan (behind bandwagoners), imho.

hah!
What in the hell does my political persuasion have to do with anything? You’ve been bringing it up a lot lately, which is especially strange since I’ve talked very little about politics on here since the election.
I make salient baseball points all the time. So do others, but if they don’t agree with YOUR points you deem them not “salient”. And you have a short memory because there are actually a few things you and I agree on and before I began to loathe you, I remember you responding to a couple of my posts positively. So I’m calling bullshit on that one.
You have no idea what my core competency is. I don’t think I’ve ever uttered a word on interior design or fashion on here or any other message board, though.
Your “Big Dogs” comment just makes me laugh. You are a giant ego. Nothing more.
Anyway I think more girls on here would be great and have never said or implied otherwise, so don’t try to make yourself look like some kind of hero while I’m against it or something.
I just thought it was funny that you’d consider yourself part of “us”, first because there is no “us” and if there were you are UNIVERSALLY DESPISED at LSB and would not be included in that group. As far as I know I would be excluded, too, but I wouldn’t go around claiming “us” status.
Again, you’re an egotistical asshole of the first degree who holds bizarre and totally unsubstantiated opinions about how the front office works among other things. You annoy everyone with your repetition and totally inflexible thinking, even those who annoy everyone else. Can you not see how people react to you? They think you’re a fucking idiot. Get it through your skull.

Ah that ego.
Opinions are opinions. Yours are both unpopular and stupid not because they’re yours, but because they make very strange logical leaps and are totally unsubstantiated. We all love Nolan Ryan and we all recognize Daniels made some mistakes, but the conclusions you draw from that are just plain crazy.
by Black Francis on Jun 27, 2009 11:01 AM CDT up reply actions 0 recs
Most of LSB resents Nolan Ryan
because his presence means Little Boy Donuts isn’t going to get any credit as this thing turns around. Track records (this thing was abysmal on almost every level from October ’05- February 08) will do that to your legacy.
As for my opinions being unpopular or stupid…sometimes I miss but quite often I hit.
The difference between my opinions and yours is that LSB actually gives a shit what I say.

The difference between my opinions and yours is that LSB actually gives a shit what I say.
I would imagine a few people care what I say but most don’t. Where you are most likely wrong is that people give a shit about what you say. You start lots of arguments. That’s not the same thing.
But that’s my opinion, what say you, LSB? Don’t be shy.

Well, I don't give a shit
what Josey Donuts say, and have him blocked on the majority of my computers. Its just too much written diarrhea. I wish there were ways to block the chains of pissing contests people get into with him, because they are some of the least interesting content on LSB.

I like George C, lsj.
I have a lot of empathy for what Bob Probert had to endure througout his career.
He just wanted to play the game yet almost every little swinging dick in the league wanted to make a name for themselves by taking on one of the baddest boys in the NHL.
Sho’nuff , said little swinging dicks would skate in front of Probert and throw down their gloves and he’d look at them and say “Really?”
The results were predictable and you’d always see some clueless little twit unaware of his limitations end up with their orbital bone broken, nose shattered and pride taken away.

Because
their offense has looked like crap for a month? During June, with all the bad offense, they were still 9-12, which ain’t bad considering. If June is the team’s worse month of the year, they still have a great shot.

Hall of Fame pitcher Nolan Ryan was on the same pitching staff with Danny Darwin during the 1986 through 1988 seasons. Both were described by Milo Hamilton as "tall, tough Texans." It was a source of debate amongst Astros players and fans over who would win in a fight, Ryan or Darwin. Though Astros pitcher Bob Knepper attempted to set up a fight between the two during spring training in 1988, manager Hal Lanier stopped it before it could commence. Many experts, including Astros shortstop Rafael Ramirez, felt that Darwin would win because he "looked like someone no man would want to mess with."

there was actually a pretty good crowd there. Bottom 2 levels were pretty full and 3rd level had quite a few in it, especially down the right field line (shade side).
So nice to see us having an offense again. Hopefully this keeps up.
