Dammit.
Quit doing that when I’m in the middle of typing a post.

Yes. By merely taking the mound ...
Benson is signaling that batting practice is about to commence.
Make Benson finish the game...
Cut him right after…
2 on 1 out for detroit bottom 7
That is now deemed the most important game going right now.
oh god benson sucks.
the preceding post was a great success.

Adam — LSB could use at least a little bit of minor league coverage.
We need Jamey or someone to write a weekly roundup of prospects news. Nothing as comprehensive as NMLR reports but just some news so I know how well folks like Neftali is doing.

Why not, let's get innings out of him before DFAing him

unless the Rangers bat around a couple times
I don’t see why not.

What a disappointing career. It's one thing to ridicule. It's another thing to live it.

Disappointing definitely, but really not a bad mlb career.
at least he never hit 5.0 on the ERA until this year.
the preceding post was a great success.
Yeah,
but if you look at his college numbers, they look like Strasburg’s. Benson was hugely hyped in the day.

thats the disappointing part.
definitely didn’t live up to the hype.

Harry done after 3IP
3H 1ER 1BB 5K
Elvis Andrus - 2009 AL Rookie of the Year
Mitch Moreland - 2009 Rangers Minor League POY
must have been great in the last 2 innings
because 3 hits 1bb sounds like what the first inning update was.
the preceding post was a great success.
Zing!
Nice one, Josh.

its pretty insane how much attention twitter is getting virtually everywhere in the media
whoever owns it should sell right now.

I'm ready tired of every TV show feeling like they need a twitter...
honestly, what’s the point of these channels having an f’n website if they don’t even want the traffic and ad revenue?

Just a huge game tomorrow.
Assuming Detroit holds on, a win leaves us with a 3-3 trip to NYY/BOS and no worse than +3.5, one game worse than we were entering the dangerous trip.
Hopefully the Padilla wake-up call move will fire him up as planned.
Josh with the MST3K reference

The older episodes were just great with Joel….Mike Nelson was good but not nearly as good as Joel

Most annoying part of the Ranger broadcasts?
Knox?
Twitter references?
Reading inane emails?
Refusing to talk about the game?
Josh beating us down with the 50th reference to something we all already know (i.e., “They aren’t booing, they are saying ‘Youk’.”?
Has to be the twitter references.

The emails and Knox I can live with. But the incessant Twitter references make me want to vomit blood.
I hadn’t noticed Josh’s repetitiveness so much until recently, but that’s getting pretty bad too.
"I dont care to debate with a troll." - Sharky
yeah twitter sucks
I had a nice e-mail though about Padilla and waivers… but Josh didn’t read it and added his own words to make it sound like I didn’t know Padilla didn’t have to clear waivers to be traded heh
Anytime Rick Renner makes an appearance
it trumps all of these

Good job Mathis...

the problem is he could bring his best stuff and still go 6 ip 3 er.
the preceding post was a great success.
I have to believe he's been humbled. Wasn't there a link that he still wants to be a part of this even though they waived him?
He doesn’t talk to the media much. I’m inclined to believe him

I don't think he was humbled,
but I don’t think he goes plunking either.
"I saw your act, just didn't make it for me. Just a lot of fluff."
My guess is
the message has been received that he needs to step his game up to avoid taking too much of a pay cut next year.

I have no idea
why they just don’t ride Benson into the ground. With a sub 5 inning start, you might as well thrash your long man to save your overall bullpen

Okay
So I haven’t been posting but I have watched this game. Kinsler’s pretty good, at least.
Thought Holland looked good but those Red Sox are hard to get out, you know. Think Lester looks damn good but the Rangers have helped with that. With any luck the score would look more respectable but I think they were going to be beaten tonight no matter what.
Nice to see the Preying Mathis.
90 pitches going into the 9th? That’s just fucking ridiculous. This team needs to be taken behind the woodshed.
No perfect game, no no-no, and no loss of games to Angels...
Can’t really complain.
As has been stated, win tomorrow and come back 3-3…not too shabby.
