Where does it end?
106 games to go. We're a little over 1/3 of the way through the season, and just off a good trip thru juggernaut-land. We're at 33-23, so where do you think we end up? My rosy pre-season projection was 92-70, and i'm sticking with that. 10 of the next 25 games are at home, so we're home a lot in June and away a lot in August. (10 home, 19 away.) Being away in August could be a good thing to escape the heat a little. The season ends with a 7 game road trip to LAA for 4 games and Seattle for 3 games...could be an important trip west.
Remaining games:
| Opponent | Home | Away |
| LA Angels | 6 | 10 |
| Oakland | 3 | 8 |
| Seattle | 7 | 7 |
| Toronto | 7 | |
| Tampa Bay | 6 | 3 |
| Boston | 6 | |
| NY Yankees | 3 | |
| Baltimore | 3 | |
| Minnesota | 7 | 3 |
| Kansas City | 3 | |
| Detroit | 3 | |
| Cleveland | 6 | |
| Houston | 3 | |
| LA Dodgers | 3 | |
| San Francisco | 3 | |
| Arizona | 3 | |
| San Diego | 3 |

i cant remember my preseason prediction but i think it was around
84 or 85 wins. the preponderance of road games against divisional opponents worries me a little, but we’ve held our own on the road so far. i think 90 wins is feasible, but i’d expect something more like 87 or 88.

angels getting healthy
rangers coming apart
texas returns to Earth, and LAA climbs to their rightful place
the good/bad of a 162-game schedule is that eventually (or sooner) you become who you are
1st in the AL West
2nd in the AL 1 game back
not sustainable
i think that texas finishes 5-10 games back of LAA and 5-10 back of boston for the wild card.
NYY is going to get HOT. they have an insane lineup and a ballpark that’s going to play to their strengths. LAA is just a much better team that is only 4 game back with little contribution to date from their best players.
i love the fact that TEX has made this the most exciting APR/MAY/JUNE in recent memory, but they will regress to the mean.

Maybe Kershaw will pitch in his neck of the woods
That would be sweet. Well, not for us, but yeah.
