Conflict between Rany and the Royals
Well, this is interesting...
Rany Jazayerli, well known former BP writer and Royals blogger, wrote a scathing indictment of the Royals medical staff in the aftermath of season-ending injuries to Mike Aviles and Coco Crisp that, it appears, weren't initially properly diagnosed. He brings up the Royals' poor history of dealing with injuries, and notes that Nick Swartz has been the Royals' trainer for the last 19 years, suggesting that there should be some accountability for such a long line of problems.
As a result of all this, he says he has been blacklisted by the Royals.

Hilarious.
I wonder what would happen if JoePos wrote something like that. What’s funny is that Rany’s written much more critical pieces than that in the past.

Being a Rangers fan sucks sometimes…but being a Royals fan would be awful.

To think
they used to be a model franchise.

Yeah it's always fun to point the finger at dysfunctional organizations
especially when it isn’t your own.

that happens in local
TV, radio and newspaper too.
piss off a PD or city councilor and you get blacklisted for a while. just a matter of who blinks first
Hall of Fame pitcher Nolan Ryan was on the same pitching staff with Danny Darwin during the 1986 through 1988 seasons. Both were described by Milo Hamilton as "tall, tough Texans." It was a source of debate amongst Astros players and fans over who would win in a fight, Ryan or Darwin. Though Astros pitcher Bob Knepper attempted to set up a fight between the two during spring training in 1988, manager Hal Lanier stopped it before it could commence. Many experts, including Astros shortstop Rafael Ramirez, felt that Darwin would win because he "looked like someone no man would want to mess with."

Team ortho is the problem
And Rany mentions him in the follow up article that Adam linked.
"Dr. Steve Joyce begins his 31st year as a Team Physician and 23rd as the Head Team Physician for the Royals. Dr. Joyce is an orthopedic surgeon at Dickson-Dively Midwest Orthopedic Clinic and Kansas City Orthopedic Institute, which was established in 1999. He was the President of the Major League Baseball Physicians Association in 1994 and 1995."
Yeah, it’s probably best that I leave it at that.
It seems to me than Rany should redirect the blame to the team orthopod.
I am all the more appreciative of how protective the Rangers have been with their personnel this year. Anytime anyone has complained of soreness, they have sent them out for evaluation/MRI and given them (in most cases) the necessary rest. This did not seem to be the case last year with Bradley, Bird, Hammy, MY nursing lingering injuries while playing at less 100%.

we used to have a very respectable physician in Dr Conway.
however being a team physician for a professional sports organization is no longer a very desirable position due to the very high liability involved. Alot of teams cannot draw from the good end of the talent pool

What a cry baby
Please. He’s just a whiney baby. I especially like the part where he says the team should have contacted him directly instead of criticizing him in front of other reporters. I mean, direct communication would only be the courteous thing to do. After all, it’s not like self-important douche just blabbed his accusations to the peanut gallery without giving the team a chance to respond to his criticism first. oh wait…

Interesting
A credible blogger becomes the instrument for really bad PR, then salvage of that bad PR. The most interesting thing I read in Rany’s “banned” piece were the harmonies about slagging pitching arms, and some references to scathing criticism of Hillman. Maybe it’s true that Trey don’t play as an MLB manager.
