Question
What are the chances that Adam complains about Hank Blalock in the episode…
I say, 1-5…

In the last podcast
it seemed as though a turd was being held under AJM’s nose whenever Blalock’s or MYoung’s name came up.

" I don’t feel like arguing with laxtonto about it for the same reason I wouldn’t argue with him if he said the earth was flat. He’s a person who is happy with his head up his ass so why should I make him sad?"

You are obsessed with bodily wastes
A turd being held under my nose, this team being a steaming pile, Jonny Donuts having a stinky diaper, the front office pissing themselves, the team crapping the bed…
I think you should seek counselling.

LOL!
How did you forget that this past off-season when I said that JD was “the fart in the room” ?

Podcast review
Points to AJM for saying CBerman wears clown shoes.
Jamey said about Blalock… “he’s sorta contributing.”
Sorta contributing, I guess.
Won the Angels game with a walk-off HR (in a game where he hit two bombs); hit two-run HR off Kazmir in 3-1 win; hit another HR off Morrow to swing momentum back to Texas in the only game they defeated the M’s in that series; had two RBI v. Boston with two hits (first hit got team off schneid, second hit gave them the lead) only a few minutes before this podcast was recorded.
For the month on a team that is struggling mightily on offense, he has a .359 obp, .976 OPS and leads the team in RBI. Yeah, he’s sorta contributing.
Scott Lucas does mention that awful word “hope” when it comes to the solution of fixing this team’s offense. He also seems a little heartbroken about the prospect of Feliz becoming a closer in The Show.
We get the requisite AJM rant “This team’s pitching really isn’t better…it’s the defense.” Giving credit to the pitching being better would mean giving credit to Ryan so we know where that comes from.
Lots of Rudy talk. He’s the same coach he was last year, folks. The problem is the personnel assembled in the off-season and the lack of an adequate replacement for Bradley. Who put this thing together?
Lucas discusses why the minor league teams don’t have a better record and seems to be making excuses. I don’t follow the minors too closely but the great Bill James wrote that teams with very good minor league records tend to become teams with very good major league records and I wanna say he cited the late 60’s A’s and early 70’s Dodgers as examples.
Jamey also makes excuses for the minor league teams not being better despite all the hype regarding the talent and says that OKC would be much better with Holland & Andrus.
When Scott was asked about the minor league talent living up to the hype he said wasn’t so sure they have and that he’s glad the team at the major league level has been so good.
Asked to name a player of the last two weeks, AJM predictably goes with CDavis. Jamey rolls with Murphy (who doesn’t have 40 plate appearances in July), while Lucas goes with Moscoso.
Ok listen.

Sigh.... it's like Sarah Palin transcripting an Obama speech...
The Texas Rangers have been synonymous with explosive firepower ever since they emptied 130 rounds into Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow in 1934. - Alyssa Milano
"Hope"
Yeah, I overused that word. Point being, the offense went (or is still going through) a historically bad slump, and it’s reasonable to expect some regression toward the mean.

Add a 2 run first inning single off Josh Beckett to
Hank’s “sorta contributing” July resume.
