wow, this cingle event...
that didnt even draw 9,000 fans i might add, almost cost my sister in law a lifetime of ridicule. Leah, who is 22, been a boy she was in line to be named Oddibe. to this day, my father in law calls her bodi.
I'm not sure which is cooler.
Finishing the cycle with a homer like McDowell, or finishing it with a triple like Kinsler.

I'm biased I guess as I was at the Oddibe cycle game...
…but when he came up everyone knew it was his last shot to achieve a Ranger first… and he ripped it out to right. No doubt about it off the bat.
Pretty sweet back when there wasn’t often much to get that excited about at Rangers games.
Wow a few things stick out for me...
…like:
1. Fewer than 9K announced attendance. Of course that wasn’t unusual in that Rangers era. And of course it was a colossal matchup of 7th place teams.
2. I didn’t remember Grover hanging on as a player that long.
3. Nice .505 OPS for Tribe DH Andre Thornton.
4. Check out the fine work of Dave Rozema. Gets Hough out of a bases loaded/no outs jam in the 6th and goes the route for the rare 4-inning save. I remember the 84-85 offseason when we were told that Rozema was a huge FA signing.
5. This was that crazy year for Wayne Tolleson when he threw up a 101 OPS+ (career OPS+ of 66).
I have no objection to man walking on the moon.
One of my favorite Berman nicknames of all time...

Awesome.
I was at this game. Few rows behind 1B dugout in old Arlington when he ripped it out to right field for the cycle.
