BUEHRLE PERFECT GAME
Buehrle is perfect through 8 and it is free on MLB.COM right now, check it out if you're interested!
Wow any of you who didn't see Dewayne Wise's catch you have to check it out, probably the catch of the year, he came in, in the bottom of the ninth as a defensive replacement in a PERFECT GAME and steals a HR away from Gabe "the Babe" Kapler for out number one.

dewayne fucking wise
holy shit, catch of the year without a doubt, coming in, in the bottom of the ninth as a defensive replacement, and robbing a HR for out number 1, WOW what a play

Dewayne Wise may never amount to much in this league...
…but that dude just overtook Rusty Greer for the most clutch amazing catch in perfect game history.

So I'm at work
watching the live lookin, and the spousal unit is watching gameday. Apparently Gameday had that catch as a double, then took it back.

That's what I told the spouse
I’m like, “double, my ass – it was GONE, but Wise ROBBED it.”

I hope no one is surprised
when Wise shows up with his heart removed by Kapler’s bare hands tomorrow.
You are obsessed with bodily wastes A turd being held under my nose, this team being a steaming pile, Jonny Donuts having a stinky diaper, the front office pissing themselves, the team crapping the bed…
I think you should seek counselling.

In the context of a perfect game
I don’t think Kapler is that upset. Its not like it was a 1-run game.

Probably a double because they thought he dropped it
Because that ball would have cleared the wall by a good 12-18 inches

The 3-2 changeup to Hernandez was outright filth.
Batter is thinking a nice meaty 88 mph fastball from Burl only to get a 81 mph fall off the table changeup. Nice.

Michael Young > Steve Garvey.

I love Kapler diving catches
In one of them, however, its a fairly routing flyball behind the 2nd baseman (Zobrist) who is standing under it, waving off the center fielder, who also could have gotten it. Then all of a sudden Zobrist ducks out of the way as Kapler comes flying in from right field and makes a tremendous diving catch. It was funny because he had no business being in the play at all, except if his intention was to onto ESPN tonight.

I cannot think of a recent President who didn't at least pretend to be a fan
It would be un-American not to be a fan of America’s Pastime.

which was probably clinton
can’t really saw W wasn’t a fan. I’m sure he would have called to congratulate the Rangers had they done one freaking thing the whole time he was in office.

Baseball Almanac catalogs everything!
Looks like Carter may have been the “worst” fan in recent history. Only one game attended while in office. Plus BA has this to say about him:
Jimmy Carter was no real fan of baseball but he loved the game of softball more than imaginable. He played regularly before, during and after his presidency. While running for President, his advisors used footage of Carter playing softball in his hometown.

Cool site
They should have a ranking of Presidents, post 1900, by their baseball fan-ness.
You’ve got to think that Old George has to be up near the top of that list – he practically lives at Minute Maid Park now, he and Barbara sitting behind home plate. And of course GWB owned the Rangers, and they’re sort of a ML club. But it seems like most of the earlier 20th century Presidents could be found often at Washington Senators games, according to this.
Fun.
Go Rice Owls!

Great, another reason to not like him.

I guess
All the hype I read before watching it built it up too much. It was a great, super, fantastic track and rundown of the ball, but the actual catch didn’t seem all that difficult.
Maybe he just made it look easy.
