Jesse FREAKING Crane

Holy crap, I know it is just one regular season game, but all that is Holy in Baseball what will it take for the Angels to lose a freaking game. I knew, just knew when I looked down at gameday and saw Jesse Friggin Crane coming in for the bottom of the tenth that the Angels were going to win. Any ways discuss, how the Angels beat one of the best closers in baseball with two outs and a two run lead, and how the Twins absolutely hate us and want all Ranger fans to suffer!

it is far too early

to worry about individual baseball games played by division rivals. they are having a run of exceptional luck, but over time these things even out. i’d rather they get this out of their system now than have it play out in september.

What is this, Horseville? Because I'm surrounded by naysayers.

I understand the statistics

but it still kicks my balls really hard

one thing I do like

Is that it’s now July 24 and I care what the Angels are doing. So there is the obvious good. The bad…everything else. Seriously, I despise the Angels and this week has been a prime example of why. They are not this good and yet they always seem to be this good…if that makes any sense. What I keep coming back to is that the Angels are playing unsustainable baseball, the Ranger bats still aren’t awake, and this thing isn’t close to over. That and the Rangers have been the Angels’ daddy this year. But I can’t handle this crap every night.

yea, I just hope that they stop getting so damn lucky

they really are playing unsustainbly well, and i agree 100% i dont think they are nearly as good as they seem or their record indicates. First and foremost, who on their pitching staff is good outside of Weaver? I would even say that he’s not all that great. Lackey has been getting healthy, but he’s no where close to the 2004-5 John Lackey, he’s got a ton of wear on his arm. Joe Saunders is an average LH starter who somehow had a sick year last year. Santana w/o his blazing FB isnt good. Their bullpen is about 1/9 as good as ours. Their lineup is full of a bunch of average depedent slappers who cant sustain this run their on. I dont know, i frickin despise them, that i know for sure.

ok looking at it:

so far,
Kendry Morales
Chone Figgins
Maitzer Izturis
Juan Rivera
Torii Hunter
Mike Napoli
Eric Aybar

are all having career years this year so far, all of them. Thats not really a young group of players either… this has to slow down

And we keep saying

The Rangers offense will come around also. Neither are true so far.

Well its better that they're going on a tear right now

as opposed to mid September. But it is really concerning to see them roll through the AL like this without their 3 best hitters.

They’re playing like the best team in the AL right now and all we can do is keep winning and hope to stay close when they inevitably slow down.

At least they can't beat the Rangers

and we’re going to see a lot of them. It is curious how the Yankees, Giants, and Twins all hammered us, and then grabbed their ankles for the bitch Angels.

That's why they call them business sox

by egriffey on Jul 24, 2009 1:29 AM CDT reply actions   0 recs

That's the calming element

7-2 against them head to head right now. with what (?) 10 games remaining. 14-5 or better should ice the deal, because enough games remain for the weird come from behind wins to fade away. The only thing to really worry about is for the Rangers to take care of business every series, never assuming a game is theirs simply because an opponent is not so good.

Ugh.

Everyone needs to drive a vehicle, even the very tall. This was the largest auto I could afford. Should I therefore be made the subject of fun?

Maybe we should petition to MLB to relugate bad teams to AAA

Like K.C? Or maybe the Twins should just die,or quit. Every team who seems to play the Fucking Angels gets Ben Roethlesberger’D. With a capital D.

This shit of blowing 2/3 run leads late in games to the LA Angels of Segundo is pissing me off more than watching Luis Mendoza attempt to throw a FUCKING SINKER THAT DOESNT FUCKING SINK.

Fuck you all,we have to do this bullshit ourselves no thanks to the rest of the AL.

yeah Joe Freaking Nathan

did show his ass, but watching on gameday he got his little nuts squeezed, but as soon as I saw Jesse Crain come in the game, I knew the comeback was in the bag

I hate the angels and the dipshit relievers that keep blowing leads

A baseball game is simply a nervous breakdown divided into nine innings.

They will lose in a blow out

and realize just who they are. No worries.

Well, in fairness.......

….the Twins did bring in R.A. Dickey last sunday night to help make sure that the Rangers didn’t get swept.

That game

was seriously one of the luckiest wins, if not THE LUCKIEST win I’ve ever seen.

The hit that scored the tying run was a groundball by Kendrick that went off Nathan’s glove towards 2nd. Runner on 1st – force at second ends the game.

So what happens? The ball goes off Nathan’s glove and then goes OFF SECOND BASE and the angels score.

It was unreal.

Not to mention of course, Nathan getting squeezed in the at-bat beforehand.

Everyone keeps saying the Angels are lucky

and that they can’t continue to win at this pace.

But, correct me if I’m wrong here, wasn’t that what everyone said about the Angels last year? That they were extraordinarily lucky and that they shouldn’t be winning as much as they were?
