AJM at BTF for the Trade Deadline
BTF is having a discussion panel for the trade deadline, which I'll be participating in.
It runs from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Central on Friday, and I'll be joining in around 2 p.m. There will be a rotating group of bloggers sitting in for various stints.
Anyway, should be some good stuff, so take a look at who is participating and be sure to check it out on Friday.

I'd cool if a deal went down during the discussion
Something like this:
Moderator: So Rev, what are the chances your Angels land Cliff Lee.
Rev: Pretty good, actually. It’s going to hurt to see Kendrick go, but I think it’s time for him to move one. But as long as we get increase our chances of locking up the divis—-
Mod: Sorry to cut you off. But it seems that Cliff Lee has just been traded to the Rays for Wade Davis+.
Alma para conquistarte, corazón para quererte, y vida para vivirla junto a ti.
Someone should ask Rev about the "Angels are interested in Dan Haren" rumors
Because there is pretty much no combination of Angels players/prospects that could intice Arizona to give away Haren.
Go Rice Owls!
Actually, it would be more like this....
Moderator: So Rev, what are the chances your Angels land Cliff Lee
Rev: Are you kidding me? Its as good as done. Bye Kendrick, hello Lee. I hope the rest of the division enjoys seeing our backside cause the distance in the rear view mirror just got further. Suck it AL West, especially th-
Mod: Sorry to cut you off. But it seems that Cliff Lee has just been traded to the Rays for Wade Davis+
Rev: #%#! @$%! This is a conspiracy of the MLB to make Tampa Bay gain a larger market! Screw everyone, we still got Santana!
Bill Simmons: "I will tell you right now, if the Boston Red Sox traded Clay Buchholz for Justin Smoak, I will run around my neighborhood naked...celebrating for an hour. I love Justin Smoak"
Why would BTF have Rev on the panel?
He’s not the BTF type.

After Fuentes blows a save and an Angels loss to the Indians:
"Angels still in first place" - UCI Halo
"Hey you know who would have gotten those 3 outs in the 9th?
Darren O’Day." - FirebatM3
LOL
Every Angels fan is just that dumb apparently
By 2028, Mark Teixeira will be in the HOF.
"I am one of the biggest Texas Ranger fans out there but I'm also one of the smartest. Deal with it."
-The Outlaw
It's a birth right.
A special gift from God to the Angels and their fans.

Lackey as the #1 in that group? You don't see a problem there?
Gracchus (about Obama): I think he knows what America is. America is the mob. Conjure money for them and they'll be distracted. Take away their freedom and still they'll roar. The beating heart of America is not the paper of the Constitution, it's the power of the media. He'll bring them debt - and they will love him for it.

Interesting free content at BP
Second half strength of schedules. Looks like the Rangers have a tougher second half than the Angels.

Remember Red, hope is a good thing. Maybe the best of things. And no good thing ever dies.
yeah August is pretty brutal
and much of it is on the road which is both good and bad. Less games in the heat of Texas but games in Yankee Stadium and Metrodome which are not easy places to play.
Signature! I don't need no stinking signature!!
