Moscoso Recalled, Eyre Optioned
The Rangers have recalled Guillermo Moscoso from AAA, and have optioned Willie Eyre to make room for him on the 25 man roster.
I'm guessing that if Vicente Padilla has to go to the d.l., Moscoso steps in for him in the rotation. Moscoso will also probably follow Doug Mathis today, with Mathis giving the Rangers three or four innings.

39 innings, 31 hits, 1.85 era, 32:6 k:bb.

Someone please explain the logic behind starting Mathis instead of Moscoso
Hes on his normal schedule so its not like he can only go a couple innings.
Bryan Smith (12:17:17 PM PT): Justin Smoak and Josh Hamilton. The AL West might just have found their Bash Brothers, v. 2.0.
But hes only pitched well out of the bullpen not as a starter
in the show

Look at his career numbers

Fuck off
Its a very valid question. The guy has given up 21 ER in 22 innings as a starter and 0 ER in 22 innings as a reliever. You bring up a guy who has been starting and doing well in AAA on his normal start cycle and don’t start him? Doesn’t make sense to me and the explanation that its a “reward” is even dumber

so a 22 innings
sample as a starter is large enough to justify not letting him start again? I see your point about Moscoso but it seems like you’re being short sighted on the issue. You’re blowing this out of proportion IMO
