OT: New TCU Fan Website

Horned Frog Frenzy

Sorry for the way OT, but I wanted to spread the word here about a website that a friend of mine and I are starting... I have flirted with the idea for awhile and have finally decided to dedicate some time to it.  The website will be covering TCU Athletics, top to bottom, and will be featuring several regular items such as morning updates, breaking news, frequent pod-casts, live casts from around the TCU area, exclusive interviews with TCU staff and coaches, and unprecedented coverage of everything in Horned Frog land.

The blogging lineup will feature myself, as well as a current Fort Worth Star Telegram writer (Yet to be named) and possibly another member of the DFW media... Their will also be some pieces by some current TCU students and others.

We are pretty low tech right now but are planning some big updates very soon, and very likely a change of location... I would love to have all the TCU fans here bookmark/Google Read the site, and I welcome all suggestions.

Thanks and Go Frogs!

We look to improve

on their weaknesses. Their forums a great, well traveled, but their features are almost non exsistent and dont have much coverage… This will be a true blog, based on content. We hope to be moving digs pretty soon which will allow us to have a great user expierience as well as do a ton of great content.

Renovations

When will the new stadium renovations start? The concept art of the new Football stadium is amazing.

Wow.

At first I thought it was a joke….like an oxymoron (TCU and ‘fans’), but you’re serious. Speaking of moronic things, how about u.t.?

TCU is starting to do it right

In regards to building a fan base and etc. After having a good program for the past decade and arguably the second best in the state of Texas. TCU’s marketing department is doing a better job than it has in the past (although it could be a heck of alot better). If I was a high school football player I would consider them over UT because they are better at developing players. Unlike Texas who gets 4-5 star recruits every year that amount to nothing, TCU always turn 2 star recruits into 5 star players. Look at Jerry Hughes, Jason Phillips, LT, Aaron Schobel and etc. Hopefully they will challenge UT’s overhyped program in the future. But they will need the new stadium to recruit better players to do it. I wish that TCU, Utah and BYU could merge with the top teams of the Big East to create a good BCS conference.

So how do you explain Tommy Blake?

Tommy Blake had a hell of a lot of issues

outside the game of football. Great player, no doubt, but he’s dealing with things that Vince Lombardi couldn’t fix.

I explain

Tommy Blake as a great example of what he was talking about. A lightly recruited RB out of Aransas Pass that they turned into one of the top DE"s in the country. If he hadn’t of had major issues outside of the game of football, he would have been a top 10 draft pick. Try again UT homer…

TCU busts suffer from Bipoloar Disorders

UT busts suffer from other mental issues. Some call it idiocy or stupidity, but I’m not a doctor.
