Hall of Fame pitcher Nolan Ryan was on the same pitching staff with Danny Darwin during the 1986 through 1988 seasons. Both were described by Milo Hamilton as "tall, tough Texans." It was a source of debate amongst Astros players and fans over who would win in a fight, Ryan or Darwin. Though Astros pitcher Bob Knepper attempted to set up a fight between the two during spring training in 1988, manager Hal Lanier stopped it before it could commence. Many experts, including Astros shortstop Rafael Ramirez, felt that Darwin would win because he "looked like someone no man would want to mess with."

Oncor is the company that owns all the power lines and power service...

but TXU, Direct Energy, etc all run power through Oncur’s lines. Oncur itself isn’t an electricity company.

Not sure, just wiki'd it since I don't know for sure...

but looks like Oncor is the distribution arm. Luminant generates TXU’s energy, and TXU themselves are the ones that sell the energy.

I was thinking though that Oncor handles the distribution for most of the DFW area, at least the Fort Worth side since they’re always the ones out working on the lines that I see rather than a TXU, Direct Energy, etc truck

It was a source of debate amongst Astros players and fans over who would win in a fight, Ryan or Darwin.

Good news from Anaheim

Ervin Santana still sucks. 5-0 O’s in the third, think they’re still batting.

Jones overall stats are buoyed by his first 14 games.

He’s hitting .191/.271/.426 since May 8th, and .219/.358/.438 against lefthanders.

Only an imbecile would let that bat cleanup.

two of his groundouts were listed as "sharp" in gameday

then a flyout and another groundout. theres really no way to know based on that if it were a good game or not. not every 0 for 4 is actually a bad performance.

the preceding post was a great success.

I know

I can’t speak about tonight’s hits, but his grounders last night and Wednesday were pretty weak. He had some nice warning track hits, though. They looked gone off the bat.
