I think he is striking out just as much or more
He has a hit here or there, but Davis is still the worstest striker outer in all of baseball right now.
I don't want to see it.
Im pausing the TV for this pitch and the skipping past it.
the preceding post was a great success.
if the pitcher threw
a curveball that bounced halfway to home, would Davis swing?

Hall of Fame pitcher Nolan Ryan was on the same pitching staff with Danny Darwin during the 1986 through 1988 seasons. Both were described by Milo Hamilton as "tall, tough Texans." It was a source of debate amongst Astros players and fans over who would win in a fight, Ryan or Darwin. Though Astros pitcher Bob Knepper attempted to set up a fight between the two during spring training in 1988, manager Hal Lanier stopped it before it could commence. Many experts, including Astros shortstop Rafael Ramirez, felt that Darwin would win because he "looked like someone no man would want to mess with."

Only on the intertubes.
In reality, most people would consider Buck Showalter a pretty solid baseball manager. Certainly more accomplished then about 99.99% of people that have ever tried to manage a baseball team. (99% never get beyond middle/high school/community college level, fwiw.)

Oncor is the company that owns all the power lines and power service...
but TXU, Direct Energy, etc all run power through Oncur’s lines. Oncur itself isn’t an electricity company.

by Black Francis on Jul 3, 2009 9:41 PM CDT up reply actions
Not sure, just wiki'd it since I don't know for sure...
but looks like Oncor is the distribution arm. Luminant generates TXU’s energy, and TXU themselves are the ones that sell the energy.
I was thinking though that Oncor handles the distribution for most of the DFW area, at least the Fort Worth side since they’re always the ones out working on the lines that I see rather than a TXU, Direct Energy, etc truck

If you are indicative of Ron Washington's critics, he has nothing to worry about.
Jones has an .850 OPS and the 6th best WAR on the team.
Jones overall stats are buoyed by his first 14 games.
He’s hitting .191/.271/.426 since May 8th, and .219/.358/.438 against lefthanders.
