Inside Corner - Interview with Jarrod Saltalamacchia
Hey, hey kids! Look who showed up to Inside Corner to talk with our good friend Evan Grant: Texas Rangers catcher Jarrod Saltalamacchia! Salty (whose name is not Twitter-friendly) talks about his off-season work and how that has translated into his success behind the plate. He also has a fashion tip that sets him apart from pretty much every other catcher out there.
So, give it a click while you are sweating out the trade deadline (or is that just me?).

glad he asked about the helmet that's been bugging me
So now we just need to figure out how the forward facing helmet in the field is causing him to strike out so much. Maybe he should turn the batting helmet around backwards.
Be careful....to a hammer, everything looks like a nail.
Good interview
Very interesting interview highlighting Salty’s improved defense, but how about an inquiry into his abysmal offensive numbers, and what he is doing to improve it
Interesting take.
“Hey Salty, this short interview is going well, so how about I assault you with an obvious flaw in hopes of procuring a nice cliche about patience or somesuch?”

Wow.

God Forbid
you ask an athlete something other than a softball question.
"I saw a soldier try to dig a foxhole with his bare hands. He didn't notice that he'd torn off all his fingernails. I got him out of there quickly; not for his sake, but for ours. Fear is poison in combat...destructive, contagious." - Band of Brothers
Why ask an athlete anything?
They generally have nothing to say.
And what’s a “hardball” question going to do? If he knew how to stop sucking, he’d do it.
