6-2 rangers
If the rangers work the count against Price, i think they’ve got a good shot to win, even against Price.
baseBALLIN!
Yeah
We’re like the perfect team for Price to be facing, really.

I don't even want to think about how many swinging strikes this team is going to have against Price.
It could get ugly....

I think they give him 100 AB's in OKC

Yeah, I was thinking 1-1.5 months or ~100 ABs if he continues to kill it.

Every night I look at these line ups and look at the standings,
and think Wash should be Manager of the Year.
Yup.
"I saw your act, just didn't make it for me. Just a lot of fluff."
Hey, whatever it takes.
That’s a lot of smoke and mirrors halfway thru the season. Never been a big fan of his game decisions, but after a while got a give a man his due.

Buck's a good manager.
Just not a good dealer of people.
"I saw your act, just didn't make it for me. Just a lot of fluff."
If memory servece the main thing people complaied about with him was Laird/Barajas
Which in retrospect didn’t matter much at all.
the preceding post was a great success.
Oh and what was that quote he gave to blalock
Something mean.. heh..
the preceding post was a great success.
He's kind of like Billy Martin to me.
Turn around a team quick, and then rub people the wrong way. Big difference was Martin managed before there was such a large discrepancy b/w players and manager’s salaries.
Buck had to deal w/ the biggest.
"I saw your act, just didn't make it for me. Just a lot of fluff."
Buck
Most of his issues were more off the field than in-game.
by Adam J. Morris on Jul 4, 2009 7:11 PM CDT up reply actions
I find it interesting
That one of the knocks on Buck was he never wanted to play young players… and we go out and hire Wash, and we still have the same exact problem.
I guess Buck might’ve been a little bit better a strategist than Ron, but overall I’m starting to think they’re not all that much different in their ability to do their jobs… Buck was kind of a sabotage-your-own-clubhouse type, and while Ron’s popular in the clubhouse, he just doesn’t know what he’s doing.

He stayed after Wednesday night and signed for every fan. When he got to me, I had the photo of him and me from Opening Day. So, obviously, he knew I was different from the other fans waiting (mostly I-Cubs fans or just autograph hounds). He asked me when the photo was taken and such. As he handed me back my pen, he said, “Now, I promise you I’m going to start hitting better than I have been. I’m making that promise to you.” :)

Can someone please convince FSN
that we don’t have to go to Jim Knox or have a useless person in the booth every ten minutes? Won’t even start with the twitter crap, but at least that serves a purpose. They seem to be convinced that taking away from the broadcast and not showing or calling the game is the way to attract viewers.

the rest is going to be learning major league hitters and getting experience

2009 Texas Rangers: Why The Hell Not Us?--ghtd36 on May 13, 2009
price's problem was control
holland doesnt have a 2nd pitch he can throw for a strike. he pretty much only throws the slider with 2 strikes to get a strikeout and the changeup is usually a nothing pitch 75% of the time.
maybe he needs to throw more curves for strikes in fastball counts.
